About the Communications and Outreach Coordinator Role
The CFHI Communications and Outreach Coordinator is a dedicated and passionate Marketing/Communications professional who specializes in the development and execution of strategic messaging and campaigns across channels. This individual serves on CFHI’s Program Team while collaborating regularly with other team members and contractors. The ideal candidate has experience managing a communications calendar, carrying out effective ROI and data-driven campaigns, designing outreach materials, improving websites, and communicating with key stakeholders. They are comfortable navigating a variety of outreach tools and platforms and open to learning new ones as needed. They are able to design visually engaging graphics and edit short videos for social media to help effectively communicate our mission and branding to diverse audiences.The Communications and Outreach Coordinator leads key initiatives at CFHI including our scholarship program, alumni engagement (i.e. videos, interviews, testimonials, etc.), social media, and more. They will ideally have knowledge of the Global Health, nonprofit, and/or Study/Abroad/International Education fields. This is a team player who is comfortable jumping into projects, learning quickly, taking initiative while seeking appropriate input, engaging collaboratively with team members, and generally being willing to engage creatively to help as many learners as possible access CFHI’s global health education programs and offerings. This individual thrives on a lean, fast-paced team.
Your Impact
Bringing in a robust understanding of CFHI’s stakeholders (universities and institutions, students and trainees of different health professions and levels, alumni) take the lead in developing, executing, and tracking effective, targeted campaigns across social media platforms, email newsletters, targeted eblasts, third party sites, and outreach collateral
Manage the annual CFHI Scholarships budget, recruit candidates, coordinate and oversee the selection committee, allocate funds, and ensure scholarship recipients submit deliverables
Organize and lead impactful Outreach meetings
Support virtual and in-person event planning and success
Ensure outreach-related webpages are up-to-date and propose/create new pages when strategic
Act as the primary point of contact and liaison with contracted individuals/groups overseeing SEO and Google Ads. Ensure campaigns and work reflect CFHI’s priorities, and outcomes are tracked and communicated
Act as the primary point of contact for third party review sites and advertising contracts
Serve on cross-organizational committees to help support under-enrolled programs, webinars, and other key initiatives that align with CFHI’s mission and strategic plan
Represent CFHI at conferences and events and to key audiences including university partners, potential program participants, alumni, donors, and others
Communicate timely updates about your work to CFHI’s central and global teams, and board of directors

Other Important Characteristics
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Demonstrated experience and impact in communications and marketing, especially for nonprofits and/or study abroad/international education organizations (ability to share examples/portfolio and references upon request)
Proficiency in digital communication platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Canva or similar graphic design tools.
Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) and Zoom.
