    Description

    Position Description: The NCF-Envirothon Alumni and Outreach Coordinator will facilitate the conservation careers pipeline for conservation districts and federal agency partners through recruiting new NCF-Envirothon participants and retaining alumni using communications and marketing strategies. The NCF-Envirothon Alumni and Outreach Coordinator will assist with State and Provincial Envirothon program members, Envirothon competition teams, and the NCF-Envirothon Alumni Databases. This position will work to ensure accurate data entry and assist with developing outreach strategies to promote the NCF-Envirothon and recruit new student audiences. The NCF-Envirothon Alumni and Outreach Coordinator will also manage the NCF-Envirothon Diversity Grant program.

    This Full-time position works under the supervision of the NCF-Envirothon Program Manager and is a telework position.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement NCF-Envirothon outreach strategies to solicit, engage and maintain Envirothon alumni
    • Develop and implement NCF-Envirothon outreach strategies for reaching and recruiting new student audiences to facilitate the conservation careers pipeline
    • Coordinate and manage the NCF-Envirothon Diversity Grant program
    • Create and distribute regular communications, such as an online NCF-Envirothon Alumni newsletter, email updates, and posts to social media platforms
    • Maintain NCF-Envirothon databases, ensuring that contact information and other relevant data are updated and correct
    • Assist with annual membership dues, as well as annual competition registration, through engagement and tracking
    • Assist with the coordination and dissemination of promotional materials for NCF-Envirothon programs and competitions
    • Assist with the preparation and implementation of the NCF-Envirothon Annual Competition

    Skills/Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in natural resource communications, communications and marketing, or related field
    • Knowledge of Envirothon, conservation education and outreach or related programs/ projects
    • Skilled in managing and creating social media content, newsletters or press releases
    • Must be organized, creative, adaptive, and able to meet deadlines
    • Good written/ verbal communication skills; proofreading and copy-editing; graphic design
    • Good computer skills, with a knowledge of current computer applications and basic desktop publishing
    • Ability to build working relationships with NCF-Envirothon Members, Teams, Alumni and NCF (National Conservation Foundation) Partners
    • Some familiarity with natural resource management, conservation principles and membership engagement

    Moderate travel is required.
