    Description

    The Ministry on Racism (MOR) Programs Coordinator works closely with the Associate Secretary for Organizational Cultural Transformation and the Ministry on Racism Associate to help members of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) understand and end racism and ageism, transforming our religious society into a beloved community, whole and enriched by racial, ethnic, and age diversity and equity.

    • This term-limited position will support programs and services to Friends and Friends meetings, largely to affiliated meetings in the unprogrammed Quaker tradition in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
    • The Coordinator will work with, and be a part of, various staff and volunteer committees across the organization.
    • The Coordinator also supports the FGC staff in its anti-racism and youth work and identifies resources that nurture anti-racism and youth programs within the Religious Society of Friends.

    The Ministry on Racism Programs ground their work in worship and provide opportunities for Friends to share their journeys, experiences, and challenges with respect to race, racism, and ageism. Creating a blessed community that supports authentic relationships and changes harmful behaviors across ages and races requires a significant cultural shift that will multiply our opportunities to realize the Divine in our lives, both individually and corporately.

    The COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for this position (unless you have a medical exemption.) Applicants need to live in the USA, and we are not accepting applications from anyone who is not authorized to work in the USA. This is a full-time Term Limited position, beginning December 2024.
