    About DASACC: DASACC’s mission is to support survivor safety, reduce violent behaviors, and hold domestic violence offenders accountable through our Domestic Violence Abuse Intervention Program (AIP).     Position Overview: We are seeking a licensed Abuse Intervention Program Clinician to play a vital role in our efforts to address domestic violence. The AIP Clinician will provide direct clinical services, including risk assessments, individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and case coordination. This role emphasizes survivor safety, accountability, and evidence-based interventions. The ideal candidate is dedicated to promoting positive behavioral change and community safety through a survivor-centered, collaborative approach.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Direct Clinical Services:

    • Conduct domestic violence risk assessments and evaluations using the Domestic Violence Risk and Needs Assessment (DVRNA).
    • Facilitate evidence-based therapy sessions (individual and group) using motivational interviewing and other therapeutic techniques.
    • Develop individualized treatment plans and progress reports for participants.
    • Convene and lead Multidisciplinary Treatment Team (MTT) meetings for case coordination.
    • Document clinical activities, ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

    Community Engagement:

    • Represent DASACC in community partner meetings to build and sustain strategic collaborations.
    • Provide updates and recommendations to agency leadership based on community trends and initiatives.
    • Advocate for DASACC’s mission and program objectives in workgroups and policy discussions.

    Administrative & Other Duties:

    • Maintain accurate client records and complete reports, timesheets, and expense forms.
    • Participate in agency events, outreach efforts, and shared responsibilities such as Wardrobe of Hope.
    • Complete the mandatory 60-hour Victim Counselor Privilege training within the first six months.of employment.

    Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
    • Valid professional license/certification in New Jersey (e.g., LAC, LSW, LMFT, ADAC, CPRS).
    • Strong organizational and case management skills.
    • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in group facilitation and evidence-based therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing).
    • Knowledge of domestic violence dynamics and co-occurring issues.
    • Experience working with diverse or underserved populations is preferred.
    • Familiarity with community resources for the target population.

    Salary: Salary for the Domestic/Sexual Violence Counselor position is $48,925 - $61,8000 per year.

    Location: The position is based at DASACC’s AIP office in Phillipsburg, with travel required for mobile service delivery and community engagement as needed or required.

    In-Person Work Commitment: DASACC is committed to ensuring an in-person presence to provide the highest level of service to our clients. This position requires a consistent on-site work presence (with the availability of 1-2 remote workdays) to effectively meet the needs of our community and facilitate direct client interactions.
