    Description

    The International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council is a non-profit organization that provides training, certification, and education benefits to wildlife rehabilitators worldwide. Our growing organization is looking for a proactive individual to manage and develop our wildlife rehabilitation content. This is an administrative position that requires a strong background in wildlife rehabilitation. Read more about our organization at theiwrc.org.

    Working Conditions

    This position is .2 to .5 FTE (8-20 hours/week) with ability for qualified candidates to discuss an alternative level of staffing. This position can also be combined with membership coordinator and/or development coordinator.

    General Duties and Responsibilities

    • Creation of content and resources for membership, existing courses, and general website or social media use as needed
    • Advise on wildlife rehabilitation facing policies, processes, and position statements
    • Internal review and quality control of wildlife rehabilitation content
    • Grade asynchronous course labs for enrolled students
    • Program content development (e.g. new courses, revisions, literature)
    • Assist in creation of new online courses including but not limited to content creation, video recording and editing, setting up online classroom activities, and project management

    Required Qualifications

    • Outgoing and self-motivated individual eager to promote the mission of the IWRC
    • Self-disciplined, highly organized, communicative, and detail-oriented
    • Creative problem solver
    • Thrives in a dynamic, collaborative work environment
    • Project management experience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient with Google Suite and ability to learn new computer programs
    • Minimum 5 years experience in wildlife rehabilitation and/or wildlife veterinary medicine

    Desired Qualifications

    • Experience in program administration or event management, ideally for a non-profit organization
    • Post-baccalaureate degree related to biology, wildlife, ecology, environmental policy, or similar
    • Constituent relationship management database experience (Salesforce proficiency preferred)
    • Project management training
    • Spanish or other non-English language proficiency
