    L'Arche companion caregivers, referred to as "assistants," share life with - and provide care for - adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, referred to as "core members." With 5 L'Arche homes in the Haverhill area, we have a robust community centered on celebrating differences and working towards a more inclusive society.

    Here at L’Arche, we strive to make the ordinary moments of each day – cooking, attending appointments, going out for coffee - a bit more extraordinary by doing it together. Assistants learn invaluable skills related to emotional intelligence and teamwork while building relationships with a diverse network of people. Sharing time at L'Arche provides important experience and training that relates to most any career path in their future, including medical school, business school, education, or social services.
