    Description

    SERI, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization seeks a self-motivated, remote-based Systems Analyst to analyze business requirements; design, build, implement, and improve computer systems to meet the organization's needs; and promote efficiency and effectiveness to enable SERI’s work.

    SERI champions and drives the sustainable use, reuse, and recycling of electronics globally. Best known for the R2 Standard, SERI engages all stakeholders through a range of programs focused on protecting people, the planet, and our natural resources and helping everyone, everywhere have access to responsible electronics reuse and recycling facilities.

    Responsibilities

    • Understand organizational strategy to identify areas for improvement or enhancement, translating them into technical requirements.
    • Analyze available software or custom build options to identify the best fit for business requirements.
    • Oversee systems design and custom coding work to ensure good practices are implemented for data management, data normalization, and systems stability in design.
    • Develop data models, dashboards, directory tools, workflow diagrams, and system architecture.
    • Lead system testing of new or modified systems, ensuring they function as intended while meeting the specified requirements.
    • Conduct training sessions to educate end-users on system functionalities and best practices. Write manuals and guidelines to explain how systems work.
    • Provide ongoing technical support and assistance to end-users by troubleshooting system issues, providing guidance, and resolving any technical problems that may arise.
    • Stay up to date with new technologies, interfaces, and applications that can help improve and upgrade current systems in accordance with business needs.

    Preferred Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in supporting proprietary and COTS systems
    • Experience partnering with leadership to project manage and implement new technologies
    • Experience leveraging Office 365 systems, Salesforce, and resources for support
    • Previous success in leading software selection initiatives and implementation projects
    • Previous success in creating and maintaining system process and procedure documentation
    • Flexibility needed to work within a global organization with internationally located team members

    An attractive compensation package will be provided to the successful candidate commensurate with education and/or experience. SERI provides a 403b with matching contributions for retirement, a Health Reimbursement Account, Life insurance, and Disability insurance.
