    The Director of Human Resources leads the development and execution of people strategies that support organizational goals. This role oversees all core HR functions, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, compliance, and professional development. As a key member of the leadership team, the Director of HR champions a positive, engaged, and high-performing workplace culture.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    HR Strategy: Design and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and workforce planning needs.

    HR Operations: Oversee day-to-day HR functions including employee relations, compliance, and policy management.

    Talent Acquisition: Manage full-cycle recruitment for both employees and 1099 contractors, ensuring timely and effective hiring practices.

    Onboarding & Offboarding: Oversee onboarding programs that set employees up for success and manage smooth offboarding processes.

    Employee Engagement: Cultivate a positive workplace culture through initiatives that promote morale, feedback, and team connection.

    Benefits and Compensation: Partner with benefits vendors and collaborate with the Executive Director of Shared Services to maintain competitive compensation and benefits programs.

    HR Systems: Leverage HRIS and other tools to ensure data accuracy, streamline processes, and support reporting needs.

    Talent Development: Support the COO in implementing training programs that promote career growth, skill development, and leadership readiness.

    Compliance: Ensure all HR practices comply with applicable laws and regulations, maintaining updated policies and documentation.

    Strategic Planning: Provide strategic guidance and insights to the executive team on HR matters, contributing to organizational growth and success.

    Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor the HR team, and actively participate as a member of the leadership team alongside Directors and Executives.

    Skills Required

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
    • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
    • A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR leadership experience.
    • Strong understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance standards.
    • Proven experience developing people strategies and managing organizational change.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
    • Proficient in HRIS systems and data analysis tools.
    • Experience managing a mix of full-time employees and contractors is preferred.
