    Description

    Position Summary

    BOMB Magazine, a non-profit arts organization, seeks a full-time Individual Giving Manager. The Manager will participate in a range of fundraising responsibilities, including implementing and overseeing a new membership program, the annual fund, and special events. This position will report to the Director of Development. The successful candidate will have three years minimum experience in individual giving, preferably in membership, and possess exceptional communication, writing and organizational skills.

    Core Duties and Responsibilities

    Membership

    Work with Director of Development and senior staff to implement and manage BOMB’s first-ever membership program.

    • Build an annual calendar of events to cultivate and steward major donors.
    • Implement mail chimp campaigns to acquire, renew, and retain members.
    • Design and distribute electronic event invitations and manage RSVPs and follow up.
    • Assist with logistics at events (set up, check in, general info for guests).
    • Conduct follow up and renewal tasks as needed.

    Year End Appeal Campaign

    • Work on implementation of annual year-end giving campaign.
    • Preparation of YEA letters and mail chimp lists.

    Annual Gala

    • Assist with marketing to galleries and collectors and other assigned tasks, as needed.
    • Assist with event logistics including volunteers and event-day printed materials.

    Board Meetings / Governance

    • Schedule quarterly Board and committee meetings.
    • Assist with Board meeting materials/packets as needed.
    • Draft Board and committee meeting minutes.

    Development Operations

    • Input all gifts and maintain SalesForce donor database.
    • Generate acknowledgements to individual donors.
    • Undertake donor research as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Minimum of three years individual giving and/or membership experience, preferably at a mid-sized arts organization.
    • Knowledge of contemporary visual arts (and performing and/or literary arts, a plus).
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills required.
    • Proficiency with donor and sales management software, ideally Salesforce.
    • Proficiency with Adobe.

    Salary: $65K with benefits, including health insurance.

    BOMB offers a four-day work week. This position will require some event related evening and weekend work. The organization’s office is located in Brooklyn, NY, but a hybrid office/remote schedule is permitted. This is a New York Metro Area-based position.
