    Ruby’s Rainbow is seeking a full-time Associate Director of Operations to join our team and help more students rockin’ that extra chromosome achieve their dreams of higher education.

    This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation and growth of our scholarship program and furthering our mission of spreading awareness about the amazing capabilities of individuals with Down syndrome.

    What you’ll do:

    Management and Leadership

    • Collaborate with the Executive Director in the management of the organization, including hiring and guiding both staff and contractors.
    • Encourage staff growth and cultivate a workplace culture that values everyone’s wellbeing.

    Program Implementation and Evaluation

    • Oversee the scholarship program and other related projects, ensuring smooth implementation.
    • Develop and track metrics to evaluate how well our programs are doing and share results with stakeholders.
    • Collect and review feedback from scholarship recipients to continue to refine our offerings.

    Operations and Risk Management

    • Oversee daily operations and identify and implement operational improvements.
    • Assist in the development and monitoring of the organization budget
    • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and develop risk management strategies where needed.

    Communication and Representation

    • Collaborate with the Executive Director on communication strategies that effectively convey the organization’s mission and achievements.
    • Represent Ruby’s Rainbow at important meetings, conferences and events.
    • Provide excellent customer service to our donors by handling inquiries and developing strong relationships.

    Fundraising and Events

    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with sponsors and donors to enhance our fundraising efforts.
    • Assist in planning and executing fundraising events to broaden the reach of our mission.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
    • 5+ years of leadership experience in nonprofit management or related field
    • Proven ability to motivate and inspire others
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
    • Outstanding organizational and project management skills
    • Experience with fundraising and business development
    • Experience with nonprofit program evaluation and impact measurement
    • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
    • Familiarity with nonprofit compliance and risk management
    • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
    • Passion for empowering individuals with Down syndrome
    • Preferably live in the Austin, Texas, area
    • Must be willing to travel several times a year
