    Description

    Role: We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Development Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fundraising and development, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to our mission. As a Fundraiser, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. Your work will be crucial in helping us achieve our goals and expand our reach.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and Implement Fundraising Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to meet or exceed revenue goals. Identify and pursue new opportunities for funding from various sources.
    • Cultivate and Manage Donor Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential donors. Conduct outreach, provide updates on the organization’s work, and engage donors through personalized communication.
    • Grant Writing and Reporting: Research and apply for grants from foundations and other funding bodies. Prepare compelling grant proposals and reports to ensure continued support and compliance with funder requirements.
    • Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with the development team and other staff members to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals. Provide input on strategic planning and contribute to team initiatives.
    • Monitor and Analyze Fundraising Performance: Track and analyze fundraising performance metrics. Prepare regular reports on progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging fundraising techniques to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of effective fundraising strategies.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Proven track record of successful fundraising, with experience in donor cultivation, grant writing, and event management.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage diverse stakeholders.
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Proficiency in fundraising software and CRM systems.
    • Passion for animal welfare and the future of the planet.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
