    Description

    National Cathedral School seeks a full-time athletic trainer and physical education teacher for grades 4 to 6 beginning August 11, 2025. NCS is looking for an experienced athletic trainer who can make sound decisions under pressure as well as an enthusiastic and positive candidate who enjoys working with children. The athletic trainer will provide preventative care, emergency treatment and perform evaluations and recommendations for students and families. The athletic trainer will also work closely with the school nurse, coaches, and athletic director.

    In addition to athletic training duties for 7-12, the successful candidate will teach Lower School physical education classes (grades 4-6). Qualified candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Board of Certification credentials, and a current license for athletic training in the District of Columbia. The position is a 10-month staff position, with typical hours from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, extending to 7:00 pm on competition days. Weekend work is limited to certain seasons.
