    Description

    The Partnerships Manager will generate qualified leads for placement partnerships with governments for GFA’s Flagship Fellowship. The position calls for conducting market analysis, identifying prospective government partners, and developing targeted outreach campaigns to generate leads for Fellowship placements. This position involves a blend of research, marketing & outreach, and coordinating with the internal teams to ensure successful matches between government jobs and GFA applicants. This position is ideal for someone who wants to develop effective pitching and market analysis skills. GFA is a remote-first organization and this is a remote position. Below are the responsibilities for the position.

    ​​Research and Market Analysis (25%)

    • Conduct comprehensive research to identify prospective government partners, leveraging sources like LinkedIn, news, government budgets, and other market intelligence tools.
    • Analyze trends and market shifts to identify new opportunities and refine outreach strategies.
    • Conduct competitive landscape analysis and recommend adjustments to campaigns or positioning based on findings.

    Prospecting and Lead Nurturing (40%)

    • Collaborate with the Director of Partnerships to develop outreach strategies and create collateral for outreach campaigns.
    • Design and execute targeted outreach campaigns using email, LinkedIn, and phone calls to engage prospective government partners. Develop and maintain a robust lead funnel.
    • Create workflows and automate sequences to generate leads and ensure thorough meeting follow-up.
    • Play a supporting role at networking events, conferences, and meetings to build a strong referral network and identify new partnership opportunities.
    • Establish referral partnerships with government associations to drive qualified leads.
    • Identify opportunities for GFA to engage in government association conferences, coordinating sponsorships and speaking engagements.
    • Support the Director of Partnerships in setting up in-person meetings during travel.

    Data Analysis and Reporting (15%)

    • Monitor and analyze key marketing metrics (e.g., open rates, conversion rates, response rates) to evaluate and improve lead generation strategies.
    • Provide actionable evidence-based recommendations to improve prospecting effectiveness.

    Coordination and Collaboration (20%)

    • Work closely with the Talent and Communications teams to align research and trends to recruiting and development strategies.
    • Work closely with the Talent team to support Fellowship matching for all finalized roles.

    Qualifications

    • Experience:
      • 2–5 years of experience in lead generation, business development, sales support, or partnership development.
      • Proven track record of generating leads, particularly in B2B/B2G or similar sectors.
      • Experience writing marketing or sales communications.
    • Skills:
      • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize research and data into actionable insights.
      • Exceptional communication abilities, including active listening and relationship-building.
      • Creative problem-solving skills to address challenges and refine outreach strategies.
      • Excellent time management skills with a focus on prioritization and productivity.
    • Technical Expertise:
      • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot) with experience in creating workflows and sending sequences in a CRM tool to monitor and move through the partnership funnel.
      • Familiarity with Google Suite and emerging AI tools for prospecting and campaign management.
    • Mindset and Approach:

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficiency with HubSpot
    • Experience working with government clients
    • Existing networks in state governments in Michigan, Connecticut, Maryland, Colorado, Pennsylvania
    • Located in any of the following metro areas:
      • Baltimore, MD
      • Lansing, MI
      • Kansas City, MO
      • Denver, CO
      • Harrisburg, PA
