    Operations Associate (Hybrid)

    Candidates should be based in the DC metro area as in-person staff meetings and event(s) attendance is required, as well as some local coordination for other responsibilities.

    Position Description

    The Associate is a self-starter with a can-do attitude who is extremely organized, detail oriented, and proactive, with strong writing and editing abilities, and enjoys a small team environment and space for creativity.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    General Operations

    • Operate as first-line of communication for Brem Foundation by managing Brem’s phone line and ‘info’ email account
    • Manage inventory of collateral and office supplies
    • Manage check processing and donor acknowledgements
      • Mail/check pick up at Silver Spring office and depositing of checks
    • Assist with managing volunteers and improving volunteer system
    • Assist with creating calendar events, invitations to staff members, creating meeting documents, and managing organization notekeeping, including use of AI
    • Assist with keeping the Google Drive organized

    Programs and Communications

    • Prepare for, and attend meetings with nonprofit partners, corporations, donors, medical advisors, and community leaders and members
    • Update and maintain website with relevant news, upcoming events, breast health information, and making other edits as necessary on Squarespace
    • Help coordinate and plan education events and steward relationships with partner organizations
    • Support digital education initiatives including creation and amplification of content
    • Coordinate logistics, donations, and communication with volunteers for the Re-Bra Initiative
    • Support relationship with marketing firm, executing on specific tasks as needed
    • Draft social media posts and assist with digital newsletters

    Development

    • Assist with managing online platforms, preparing reports and accepting Donor Advised Funds (DAF’s), including the donor database (Kindful), fundraising (Classy), gift matching and external corporate workplace giving portals, and others as needed
    • Assist with planning and coordinating fundraising and cause marketing events
    • Assist with all direct mail and online fundraising communications

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Two to three years of professional experience
    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Comfortable wearing many hats, collaborative yet self-directed and highly organized
    • Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and oral communication
    • Proficient in the use of personal computers, office productivity software, and common business computer technologies (i.e. Windows, Word, Excel, printers, copiers, and scanners)
    • Comfort using and experience with Canva, email campaign platforms for communications related tasks
    • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly
    • Flexibility to adjust to new strategies, procedures, and tasks as the organization evolves
    • Reliable and discrete with sensitive information
