We’re a small but mighty team that believes in the power of storytelling, advocacy, and community. If you’re passionate about making a real impact and love engaging with people, you’ll fit right in!
What You’ll Do: We’re looking for a creative and energetic Communications & Engagement Manager to help amplify our mission. Reporting to the Executive Director, you’ll be responsible for getting our message out into the world—whether through social media, email campaigns, storytelling, or event marketing. You’ll help shape our brand, connect with patients and partners, and make sure our communications are as engaging and impactful as possible.
Your Day-to-Day:

- Create compelling content for our website, social media, newsletters, and email campaigns.
- Design visually compelling graphics for social media, newsletters, website content, and campaigns that align with the organization’s brand.
- Manage our social media presence—engaging with our audience, growing our reach, and keeping our messaging fresh and authentic.
- Track and report on key engagement metrics, so we know what’s working and what’s not.
- Tell patient stories in a way that’s impactful, uplifting, and drives action.
Outreach & Engagement
- Collaborate with the team to expand our reach within the healthcare community, advocacy groups, and beyond.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, media outlets, and partner organizations.
- Support marketing efforts to promote our conferences, webinars, and public engagements.
- Provide light event support when needed—we’re all hands on deck when it comes to making an impact!
Project & Performance Management
- Work with leadership to develop a game plan for our annual marketing and outreach efforts.
- Provide quarterly reports on social media growth, email engagement, and outreach impact to the Board.
- Stay on top of industry trends, new digital marketing tools, and best practices in nonprofit communications.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure our messaging stays consistent and mission-aligned.

Design event collateral, including invitations, programs, and digital assets for marketing and donor recognition.
- Hill Day: Drive strategic communications and participant engagement for Hill Day, equipping advocates with clear, impactful messaging to share their stories with legislators. Develop advocacy toolkits, talking points, and digital content to support outreach efforts, ensuring patient voices effectively influence policy discussions. Lead follow-up storytelling efforts to showcase the event’s impact across media and advocacy channels. Develop advocacy materials, such as infographics, policy one-pagers, and social media toolkits to support legislative outreach efforts.
