    Job Summary

    Youth Engagement Liaison works directly with the Program Director, Evaluation team and Executive Director to support the project. Supports the development and implementation of the evaluation plan, assists with coalition meetings, delivers programs, documentsactivities, develops reports and facilitates meetings that occur throughout the San Gabriel Valley.

    Responsibility and Duties

    • Meets with Program Director and evaluators to develop program evaluations
    • Assist in the preparation of proposals, reports, and campaign materials
    • Maintain and update database of Day One participants (past/present)
    • Maintain schedule and attend community health and resource events/fairs
    • Increase education and awareness of AOD issues
    • Supervise and train youth workers and/or volunteers when needed
    • Responsible for facilitating, implementing and completing work plan activities
    • Engage with community stakeholders and community members via community events, presentations, focus groups etc
    • Manage multi-stakeholder collaboration
    • Youth engagement and recruitment (i.e Youth Advocate Program)
    • Increase capacity of program reach and services to high need communities
    • Assist in data/survey collection
    • Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances and other communication opportunities.
    • Prepare required administrative reports, documents and campaign materials
    • Assist in the preparation of proposals, reports, and campaign materials
    • Conduct local needs assessments to identify community needs and priorities.
    • Develop and maintain electronic document back-up system
    • Document project results and provide information and results for agency reporting, news articles, website and other program development.
    • Assure proper data collection and adherence to program guidelines for evaluation and auditing
    • Responsible for developing and executing social media postings on various social media platforms and tracking analytics
    • Maintain responsibility for internal weekly project reporting
    • Fill out google timesheet daily, prepare SAPC timesheet and complete required data input for billable hours
    • Provide regular updates to the Executive Director and Program Director
    • Additional duties as assigned.

    Non-Traditional Work Hours

    This position requires working non-traditional hours that may require early mornings, evenings and weekends in order to accommodate youth and family schedules, school district meetings, city council meetings, community events/meetings, and any other convenings that support the completion of project and organizational goals.

    Working Conditions

    • Works both indoor and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions
    • Physical effort Lift and/or Transport equipment up to 50 pounds or more
    • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, walking
    • May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels
    • Working conditions and physical demands which relate to the essential functions of the position can vary and change on a daily basis.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in the social or behavioral sciences, public health, or criminal justice or equivalent in experience in a similar field.
    • Minimum of one year of experience in community engagement and related services.
    • Must have three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years developing, implementing community engagement programs
    • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills;
    • A self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills;
    • Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizes tasks, and follow projects to completion on schedule;
    • Strategic planning and program design/development experience;
    • Desire to work in a team environment
    • Flexibility, initiative, and a collaborative spirit
    • Professional, positive, work ethic.
    • Must have a flexible working schedule to accommodate for the non traditional work hours
    • Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively. Self-starter.
    • Valid California Driver’s License, insurance and ability to travel as required to perform duties.
    • Must be located in Los Angeles County
