    Description

Are you a creative powerhouse who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, digital strategy, and analytics? Do you love using social media to build engaged communities, spark meaningful conversations, and drive real-world change? If so, we want to meet you.

The Shah Family Foundation is looking for a Social Media & Digital Engagement Manager to take our digital presence to the next level. This is not your typical content role. You’ll have the opportunity to develop and execute bold, innovative campaigns, use cutting-edge AI and analytics tools to optimize engagement, and collaborate with mission-aligned creators, educators, healthcare leaders, and community builders.

You’ll lead content strategy across multiple social platforms, amplifying the work of the foundation across education, healthcare, and community initiatives. If you’re an ambitious digital storyteller with a sharp creative mind and a love for the numbers behind engagement, this is the job for you.

This full-time, in-person role is based in Boston’s Back Bay at the Shah Family Foundation offices.

    What You’ll Do

Build & Execute High-Impact Digital Campaigns

    • Own and evolve the foundation’s digital strategy across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
    • Craft scroll-stopping content—from short-form videos and motion graphics to live digital experiences—that sparks conversation and action.
    • Manage a dynamic social media content calendar, ensuring alignment with key campaigns, events, and initiatives.
    • Collaborate across teams to transform complex ideas into engaging digital narratives.
    • Stay ahead of digital trends, leveraging AI-powered tools to create content efficiently and optimize engagement.

Grow & Engage a Passionate Online Community

    • Find and connect with mission-aligned creators, influencers, and organizations to amplify our impact.
    • Actively engage with followers—responding to comments, fostering discussions, and building authentic relationships.
    • Design and launch interactive campaigns (challenges, Q&As, storytelling spotlights) to deepen engagement.
    • Harness user-generated content to build trust and highlight real voices from the community.

Use Data & AI to Optimize Everything

    • Analyze social media performance using Meta Insights, Google Analytics, Sprout Social, and other tools to refine strategy and maximize reach.
    • A/B test content formats, messaging, and timing to crack the code on what drives engagement.
    • Optimize content for SEO—think keyword-rich captions, killer thumbnails, strategic tags, and data-backed posting strategies.

    Who You Are

You’re not just a content creator—you’re a strategic thinker who understands how great storytelling meets data-driven optimization. You thrive in fast-moving, creative environments and aren’t afraid to experiment, pivot, and push boundaries.

    • 2-4 years of experience running social media for brands, organizations, or yourself—with results to show for it.
    • A strong creative portfolio demonstrating your storytelling chops across video, graphics, and copywriting.
    • Experience working with influencers, creators, and digital brand partnerships.
    • Proficiency in video editing, graphic design, and multimedia production tools (Adobe Suite, Canva, CapCut, or equivalents).
    • Comfort using AI tools for content creation and data analysis.
    • A growth mindset—you get energized by trying new things, testing ideas, and using insights to level up.
    • Passion for social impact and the Shah Family Foundation’s mission to drive change in education, healthcare, and community-building.

Some of the Projects You’ll Own & Elevate

    • Shah Family Foundation Channels – Grow and evolve our content strategy across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and beyond.
    • Boston Women’s Heritage Trail – Bring the stories of trailblazing women in Boston to life through creative digital storytelling.
    • Your Brain on Social Media – Expand our online resource for parents and educators navigating youth digital well-being.
    • Center for Comprehensive Healing (Mass General Brigham Partnership) – Shape and launch a digital engagement strategy for a groundbreaking new center advancing whole-person healing.

    Why This Role is Exciting

💡 Creative Freedom – You’ll get to experiment with fresh ideas, innovative formats, and storytelling approaches.

📈 Data-Driven Strategy – You won’t just post content—you’ll strategize, analyze, and optimize for impact.

🤝 Collaborate with Movers & Shakers – Work alongside mission-driven educators, healthcare leaders, community advocates, and influential digital voices.
