    Job Title: Advancement Coordinator

    Location: The position is based in NYRP’s midtown office. Office staff are expected to work at least 2 days per week from the office, and the remaining 3 days are remote.

    Job Summary:

    The Development Coordinator is an important part of the development team responsible for supporting fundraising initiatives and development of the major gift pipeline. This role involves coordinating strategic events, preparing donor stewardship materials and mailings, and assisting the Chief Advancement Officer with donor communications and meeting scheduling to ensure the successful implementation of the organization’s fundraising strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, experience with databases and project management, and a passion for advancing the mission of the New York Restoration Project.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Event Coordination:
      • Plan, organize, and execute fundraising and corporate volunteer events, including donor cultivation events, receptions, galas, and community outreach activities.
      • Collaborate with vendors and volunteers to ensure successful event execution.
    • Donor Experience Coordination:
      • Assist in maintaining and updating the donor database, ensuring accurate and timely entry of donor information.
      • Prepare donor acknowledgment letters, thank-you notes, and reports.
      • Support the development team in managing donor communications and stewardship efforts.
    • Administrative Support:
      • Provide administrative support to the Chief Advancement Officer, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports and charts to visualize data, and updating slide presentations.
      • Assist with the preparation of proposals, fundraising materials, and campaign reports.
      • Track and report on fundraising metrics and outcomes.
    • Fundraising Campaigns:
      • Help coordinate and execute direct mail campaigns, online fundraising efforts, and annual appeals.
      • Assist with the development of campaign materials and content.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or a related field.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with donor management software (Raiser’s Edge a plus).
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required for events.
    • Experience with event planning and execution.
    • Knowledge of fundraising strategies and best practices preferred.
    • Passion for the New York Restoration Project's mission and values; curiosity and love of learning; commitment to excellence and a collaborative, can-do attitude.
