    Anthos|Home is an innovative nonprofit transforming the way New York City residents with housing subsidies locate and secure stable housing. Modeled after Brilliant Corners in California, Anthos|Home streamlines the apartment search, approval, and move-in processes while addressing gaps in the NYC voucher housing system. We aim to be a game-changer for New Yorkers who are unhoused or at risk of homelessness.

    The Role

    The Tenant Aftercare Supervisor reports to the Vice President of Aftercare and plays a critical role in ensuring program participants remain stably housed. Aftercare Specialists provide direct support to participants, working closely with property providers, care coordinators, non-profits, and other Anthos|Home teams. The Supervisor will provide oversight, guidance, and training to the Aftercare team while addressing any escalated housing challenges.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise and support a team of six to seven Aftercare Specialists, ensuring effective service delivery.
    • Conduct biweekly one-on-one check-ins with Aftercare Specialists to assess caseload progress and provide guidance.
    • Lead biweekly team meetings to discuss best practices, case updates, and operational improvements.
    • Assign new cases and ensure balanced workloads among Aftercare Specialists.
    • Provide training and onboarding for new team members.
    • Ensure Aftercare Specialists complete monthly phone check-ins and quarterly in-unit visits for tenant support.
    • Oversee voucher recertification support, ensuring participants are prepared for renewal.
    • Enforce timely and accurate updates in Salesforce for tracking and compliance.
    • Collaborate with child welfare agencies, preventive service providers, and housing acquisition teams to enhance resources for Aftercare Specialists.
    • Monitor the provision of aftercare services to promote participant safety, wellness, and stability.
    • Ensure Aftercare Specialists respond to tenant-related emergencies during, and outside business hours as needed.
    • Work closely with Fair Futures Coaches, Preventive Services caseworkers, and Health Home Care Managers to ensure wraparound support.
    • Review case data and reporting metrics to ensure service quality and compliance.
    • Co-lead biweekly or monthly Housing Acquisition, Operations, and Tenant Coordination meetings to foster collaboration.
    • Provide input on program improvements and workflow efficiencies.
    • Serve as the first escalation point for complex tenant issues and housing crises.
    • Participate in case conferences and interagency meetings to ensure collaborative support.
    • Flag high-risk cases for review by the Vice President of Aftercare.

    Qualifications and Skills

    The ideal Tenant Aftercare Supervisor is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), LCSW preferred, or similar, with a passion for working with vulnerable populations and creative problem-solving skills.

    Preferred Experience

    • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in housing and/or human services.
    • Familiarity with the NYC housing market, voucher system, and tenant rights.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
    • Experience developing community-based resources.
    • Ability to travel and conduct multiple community visits.
    • Ability to use public transportation or meet the same travel requirements with reasonable accommodation.
    • Comfort with stair access in buildings without elevators or ability to meet the same requirement with reasonable accommodation.
    • Strong critical thinking, organizational, and project management skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce is a plus.

    • Ability to work in a diverse environment.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Competitive Salary: $80,000-$85,000/year (dependent on experience)
    • Hybrid Work Environment: 3-5 days per week in the office/field
