    Description

    The Latinas On the Verge of Excellence - L.O.V.E. Mentoring Program supports and empowers young Latinas to strive both in school and in life through positive role modeling and health education. L.O.V.E. is currently looking for a Programs Associate who will assist in the development and implementation of our mentoring programs.

    Responsibilities

    • Help plan, implement, and facilitate L.O.V.E. mentoring sessions in partner public schools and/or community-based programs
    • Provide direct support with organization's projects and tasks
    • Communicate effectively with L.O.V.E. Mentoring Program staff and school liaisons
    • Assist with data collection and data entry

    Qualifications

    • Able to travel to different schools and community centers across NYC
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational, project management, and presentation skills
    • Be proficient in MS Office applications (Word/Excel/Powerpoint) and Google Suite
    • Genuinely interested in working with young women of diverse backgrounds
    • Committed to practicing leadership and management skills inside the classroom
    • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

    Schedule:

    • Part-time schedule; Approximately 20-30 hours per week

    Benefits and Compensation:

    • Pay range $16-$20 per hour. Commensurate with the candidate's experience
