    DESCRIPTION:

The Parkinson's Foundation makes life better for people with Parkinson's disease by improving care and advancing research toward a cure. In everything we do, we build on the energy, experience, and passion of our global Parkinson's community.

The Parkinson’s Foundation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Data Operations to join our team. The position will help lead and manage the strategic oversight of constituent information to maximize program participant experience and engagement in support of mission engagement and annual fundraising goals.

The Director will play a key role in advancing the Foundation’s constituent engagement and fundraising efforts by managing data-driven initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Director of Donor Relations, you will lead efforts to enhance engagement, optimize technology solutions, and streamline data processes that support the organization’s growth. Key responsibilities include overseeing data reporting workflows—defining list criteria, creating visual data dashboards, and maintaining a secure reporting environment to ensure consistency. Additionally, this role will focus on vendor sourcing, managing product implementation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, data-driven outcomes aligned with the Foundation’s goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the constituent experience: Optimize fundraising and engagement efforts through current technology, including initiatives such as journey mapping and the new supporter portal, while identifying and addressing technology gaps to further improve outcomes.
    • Oversee and manage project timelines and deliverables: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently and stay on schedule. Implement project management practices to monitor progress, address potential roadblocks, and ensure alignment with the organization’s objectives. Facilitate communication, training, and collaboration among team members to drive project success and deliver high-quality outcomes.
    • Manage and oversee reporting processes: Define list requirements and criteria, create visual data visualizations, and maintain an inventory of reports to ensure long-term consistency. Establish a secure reporting environment to uphold data integrity and system uniformity.
    • Evaluate the Foundation’s current software systems: Optimize utilization and ensure alignment with industry standards, including automation, configuration, change management, and infrastructure provisioning, to support projected growth.
    • Provide technical and strategic guidance to the Foundation’s team members: Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement while ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality data solutions.
    • Collaborate with key internal business and technology stakeholders: Understand functional and reporting needs, prioritize projects, provide budget recommendations, and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Foster a shared understanding of technical and data engineering initiatives and their impact on the business.
    • Collaboratively maximize the Foundation’s use of the data warehouse: Identify data report needs across the organization and streamline processes to efficiently analyze, report, and deliver timely and actionable insights. Proactively address data issues and implement improvements to ensure the reliability and efficiency of data processes.
    • Assess, select, and manage third-party vendors for project ROI and suitability: Source new vendors, arrange internal demos, manage the contract review process, and oversee product implementation. Leverage in-house expertise to enhance the skills and capacity of current systems. Create, monitor, and manage project budgets and timelines.
    • Ensure uniformity across all systems in data collection: Maintain consistency in the appearance of webpages, donation forms, and registration pages, enhancing the overall user experience and data quality.
    • Establish standard data operating procedures: Implement data quality standards, policies, best practices, documentation, and strategy for digital performance analytics and related data initiatives aligned with the organization’s overall business goals.

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Successful candidates will possess the following:

    • Over seven years of experience managing complex technical ecosystems, including CRMs (Raiser’s Edge, Luminate, Salesforce), fundraising tools, and email marketing systems in nonprofit environments.
    • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, with expertise in database and spreadsheet management. Highly skilled in project management and digital engagement strategies, with a deep understanding of nonprofit software and constituent management systems.
    • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
    • Expertise in software evaluation and implementation, including vendor management and contract review.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with excellent training and presentation abilities, and a professional, positive attitude.
    • Proven experience in collaborative problem-solving and improving internal business processes.
    • Self-motivated, goal-driven, and highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Demonstrates the organizational values of excellence, teamwork, collaboration, integrity, positivity, dedication, and responsiveness.

COMPENSATION: Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included. The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000.
