    Description

    Shanti Bhavan, a globally recognized nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives through education, seeks an Operations Manager (OM) to oversee our U.S. operations. This leadership role is integral to ensuring the organization’s efficiency, sustainability, and strategic growth.

    Overview

    We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager (OM) to oversee our organization’s ongoing operations and procedures.

    As the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the organization’s day-to-day functions and strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will oversee key operational areas, including marketing, alumni relations, programming, fundraising, and partnerships. This position requires a proactive and experienced leader with exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

    The goal of the OM position is to secure the organization’s functionality to drive sustainable growth. You will be the second-in-command for our US team and responsible for the organization’s efficient operation.

    The successful candidate will be passionate about education and social impact and will have a deep commitment to poverty alleviation and socioeconomic change. They will be resilient and able to work in a high-pressure environment while remaining integrity-driven.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement business strategies, plans, and operational procedures to drive efficiency and growth
    • Set and monitor performance goals aligned with the organization’s vision
    • Oversee daily operations and lead cross-functional teams (Marketing, Alumni Relations, Programming, etc.)
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture by supporting and mentoring employees
    • Analyze operational data and performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and optimize processes
    • Manage relationships with partners, vendors, and international chapters
    • Support the COO in fundraising initiatives and donor engagement efforts
    • Represent Shanti Bhavan at public engagements, conferences, and partnership meetings

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
    • Minimum of 8+ years of working experience in operations management, preferably in a small to medium-sized company or organization
    • Strong background in managing teams
    • Proven experience as an Operations Manager or a similar leadership role
    • Demonstrated competency in strategic planning, business development, and operations management
    • Experience with fundraising and donor engagement is a plus
    • Proficiency in data analysis, performance metrics, and business infrastructure
    • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite, Asana, and other business tools
    • Willingness to travel for annual team summit and other operational or donor-related events

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Annual Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 USD (base salary)
    • Fully remote position
