    Join the NVFS Family: We are looking to hire a Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Domestic and Sexual Violence Program Coordinator to join the NVFS Multicultural team! As the Program Coordinator, you will have the responsibility for managing the daily operations of the Domestic and Sexual Violence Program to ensure the coordination of a high-quality program that is responsive to clients’ physical, social, medical, psychological and legal needs, and meets agency and funder objectives and requirements. As the Program Coordinator, you will also provide therapeutic services to survivors of domestic violence, torture, and other human rights abuses.

    Your Future Team:

    The Multicultural Center (MC) of NVFS provides trauma-informed mental health, case management and legal services that address the needs of low-income, English-limited immigrants and refugees for whom existing services are inaccessible due to language and cultural barriers. Clients include individuals from all cultural and ethnic groups whose physical, mental health and socio-economic stability has been compromised as a result of trauma, poverty, chronic stress, and other tremendous challenges posed by the process of cultural adjustment. Trauma informed services are provided by bilingual, bicultural clinicians, case managers, advocates, and immigration attorneys.

    In this role, you will:

    Staff Supervision and Coordination

    • Build, maintain and coordinate a strong interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive and integrated services to people impacted by Domestic and Sexual Violence.
    • Assist the Program Manager in coordinating the training and continuous professional development of all program staff including regular individual and group staff meetings and case consultation, ensuring proper client to staff ratio, and monitoring case files for quality and completeness.
    • Identify, recommend and participate in filling staffing needs to enable direct service staff to deliver client service effectively. Prepare and conduct supervision and timely staff performance evaluations; approval of timesheet, leave and reimbursement requests for direct reports.
    • Provide weekly supervision to assigned direct reports including Domestic Violence Advocate, Clinical Case Manager, Clinician, and/or interns
    • Work with other MC leadership on identifying and reviewing programmatic and administrative areas that are affecting direct service providers, their work with clients, and the fiscal integrity of the program.
    • Manage the waitlist for the Domestic and Sexual Violence Program and assign clients to relevant providers.
    • Coordinate and manage the Domestic Violence Intervention program, including its quality, planning, and delivery.
    • Co-facilitate, together with the Program Manager, periodic Domestic and Sexual Violence Program meetings with relevant MC staff.
    • Coordinate and assign the delivery of trainings, workshops, and other events related to the Domestic and Sexual Violence Program.
    • Track the Domestic and Sexual Violence Program’s direct assistance budget spending and manage annual spend-down of this account.

    Client Service Delivery:

    • Ensure services are delivered in an ethical, client-centered manner maintaining client confidentiality and privacy.
    • Through the intake and assessment process, ensure Domestic and Sexual Violence Program’s eligibility criteria is applied appropriately for client populations.
    • Engage, liaise and meet with consultants to ensure seamless integration of their service components.
    • Provide individual, group and community-based therapeutic services for a culturally diverse population.
    • Develop or assist in the development of new program services or resources to meet client/ program needs.
    • Participate in contract renewals and funding applications within the scope of Agency goals and purposes as directed by Director; alert the Director of funding opportunities and assist in the development of grant applications.

    Compliance and Reporting Requirements:

    • Complete appropriate documentation of services provided (e.g. progress notes, outcomes) using NVFS-approved software.
    • Assure confidentiality policies and procedures are followed to protect the rights of clients, that reports to authorities occur in the mandated time frames, and that critical incident reviews related to these procedures are completed and filed.
    • Support the writing of Domestic Violence-related grant proposals as needed.
    • Keep up-to-date on rules and guidelines from State and Funders, and share this knowledge with MC staff.
    • Responsible for the accomplishment of Domestic and Sexual Violence related service goals and objectives as stated in our grants and contracts, including projected outcomes.
    • Manage reporting to funders, to include writing reports, collecting feedback and edits from relevant staff, and submitting in a timely manner.
    • Coordinate with NVFS’ data management team to ensure up-to-date information is being collected and submitted.
    • Ensure that service delivery is of high quality and is performed according to and within the NVFS policies and procedures and contractual/licensing requirements.
    • Coordinate the preparation of narrative and statistical reports to the Agency and contract monitors measuring program effectiveness.

    Outreach/Resource Participation and Advocacy:

    • Represent MC at local Domestic and Sexual Violence related meetings.
    • Network and stay engaged with other local organizations that provide services to survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence.
    • Act as liaison with funder project coordinator, data collection projects, coalitions serving Domestic and Sexual Violence survivors, etc.
    • Keep apprised of legislative activity and developments which may impact survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence.
    • Fulfill agency and funding requirements for participation and presentations at meetings, workshops and conferences.

    Supervisory Responsibilities: Domestic Violence Advocate, Clinical Case Manager(s), Clinicians, interns assigned to project.

    Level of Language Proficiency

    • Master’s degree in one of the Behavioral Health fields from an accredited college or university.
    • Licensed mental health professional with an active, unrestricted license in Virginia (LPC or LCSW),
    • Two (2) years of post-graduate clinical experience is required in trauma focused psychotherapy such as: work with torture survivors, victims of sexual offenses, domestic violence or any other trauma survivors.
    • One (1) year of experience providing supervision to direct service providers.
    • At least two (2) years of experience delivering services to survivors and/or perpetrators of Domestic or Sexual Violence
    • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the impacts of trauma on individual and family functioning and experience with the provision and supervision of trauma-informed service delivery modalities.
    • Experience delivering services and supervising staff, with an emphasis on cultural competence and ensuring that services are effective for immigrant populations who have experienced trauma.
    • Spanish fluency required. Foreign language spoken by client population (Arabic, Amharic, French, Dari, Pashto) welcomed.
    • Experience with data collection and reporting, ability to work as part of a team, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
