    Description

    YMAA Manager (Remote)

Founded in 2012 by Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen, HFC is a nationally recognized organization that is changing the trajectory of Alzheimer’s disease through broad-scale awareness, brain health education, and tangible support for families impacted by the disease. HFC’s mission is to care for families impacted by this disease, activate the next generation of Alzheimer’s advocates, and be a leader in brain health research and education.

HFC is seeking a program manager to support and grow a vibrant network of high school and college student chapters that make up HFC’s Youth Movement Against Alzheimer’s (YMAA). Working closely with and reporting to the Senior Director of Program Development and Strategy (SDPDS), the YMAA Manager (YM) is a remote position ideally based in the greater Los Angeles or greater New York City areas.

The YM will develop and execute strategies to recruit new chapters, deepen student engagement, and grow the YMAA network. This role includes chapter management, student support, engagement activities, and some impact evaluation responsibilities.

    SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

    Chapter Recruitment & Expansion

    • Inform and implement chapter recruitment strategies to expand the YMAA network across high schools, colleges, and youth groups nationwide.
    • Build relationships with student leaders, educators, and community partners to promote YMAA’s mission.
    • Identify and engage underrepresented communities and schools, ensuring equitable access to participation.

    Chapter Leader Onboarding & Training

    • Lead the onboarding process for new chapter leaders, providing orientation, training, and resources to ensure their success.
    • Maintain and enhance onboarding materials, toolkits, and best practices to support chapter operations.

    Chapter Support & Engagement

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for YMAA chapter leaders, providing ongoing support and guidance.
    • Build a strong sense of community among YMAA chapters through regular communication, networking opportunities, and leadership development initiatives.
    • Lead YMAA’s biannual activations—“Y” in YMAA and the Brain Health Challenge—to elevate student voices and strengthen community impact.
    • Identify and support underperforming chapters, offering tailored strategies to enhance engagement.

    Impact Evaluation & Reporting

    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to chapter growth, member engagement, and program outcomes to be determined yearly in collaboration with the SDPDS.
    • Prepare regular reports on YMAA’s progress for internal and external stakeholders.

    Program Innovation & Growth

    • Stay current on trends in youth engagement, Alzheimer’s advocacy, and brain health education to ensure program relevance.
    • Inform new initiatives that empower student leaders and deepen engagement.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3-5 years of experience in youth programs and engagement, program coordination, nonprofit management, education, or a related field.
    • Experience working with students or managing youth programs, ideally within a membership-based or leadership model.
    • Proven ability to grow programs, strengthen community engagement, and manage multiple projects effectively.
    • Strong communication skills, with experience presenting to diverse audiences and facilitating leadership development.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment, demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
    • Knowledge of brain health, Alzheimer’s advocacy, or peer education programs is a bonus but not required.

    SPECIFICATIONS

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 (commensurate with experience)
    • HFC values our employees’ time and efforts. Our commitment to your success is enhanced by our competitive benefits package, including employer-paid health insurance, retirement plan with employer-matching, professional development opportunities, and paid time off.
    • The opportunity to be part of an innovative and mission-driven organization making a tangible impact on brain health and Alzheimer’s advocacy.
