We foster a culture of housing inclusion, integrating families and individuals with neighborhoods so communities at-large can thrive. At Abode Communities, we believe that everyone deserves a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home. We're passionate about creating vibrant, thriving communities where all residents have the opportunity to succeed.

The Opportunity for Impact: Shape Our Talent, Drive Our Success

Abode Communities is at an inflection point, with a unique opportunity for growth. The Talent & Culture team is being elevated and modernized to meet the organization's future needs, and this Director role will be integral in shaping that evolution. As the Director of Talent & Culture, you will be a key leader, second to the Associate Vice President, Talent & Culture (AVP, T+C), responsible for executing the Talent & Culture team's workplan and managing the day-to-day operations of the function. You will operationalize the AVP’s strategic vision and ensure the effective delivery of Talent & Culture programs and services that empower our employees and drive organizational success.

    Here's how you'll make a difference:

    • Strategic Leadership & Execution: Translate the AVP's strategic vision into actionable plans, contributing to the development of Talent & Culture strategies that align with Abode Communities' overall goals. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our programs and initiatives, providing regular updates and reports to the AVP.
    • Team Leadership & Management: Supervise and mentor the Talent & Culture team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Delegate tasks effectively, provide guidance and support, and conduct performance evaluations to promote professional development.
    • Talent Acquisition & Development: Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring we attract and retain top talent. Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies, assess training needs, and manage the performance management process.
    • Employee Relations & Compliance: Manage employee relations issues, ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, and develop and maintain Talent & Culture policies and procedures.
    • HR Operations & Technology: Oversee the effective use of our HRIS (Paycom), analyze HR data, and assist in the development and management of the Talent & Culture budget.
