    Summary of the Role: The Director of Workforce Development provides supervision, leadership, financial management, marketing and facilitation of the Easterseals Washington Employment and Community Inclusion Programs that exist to meet outcomes in the lives of adults and transition students with disabilities.

    This is a mid-level managerial position. Applicants must have prior experience as an Employment Consultant or Vocational Rehab Counselor serving in the Kitsap County area of Washington state. Experience managing a unit or program for a nonprofit serving students or adults with disabilities is a plus.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    Management – Recruit, supervise, train, and evaluate performance of Employment Consultants and provide guidance and discipline in accordance with Easterseals Washington Personnel Policies. Employment Consultants visit client workplaces to check in with employers and as needed provide one-on-one training.

    Program Development – Maximize program utilization and achieve outcomes to high quality standards, support continued growth in the current geography and expand into new Washington state areas, and market the program across a variety of mediums and methods.

    Fiscal Responsibility – Prepare and achieve program budget to meet or exceed department financial goals, including scheduling staff to the budget.

    Customer Service – Provide excellent customer service to program participants, funding agencies, community employers, and other stakeholders per policies and contract expectations.

    Skills, Education, and other Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED (required)
    • Bachelor’s Degree or combination of relevant work experience and education (required) with a concentration on health, social services, employment services or another related field (preferred)
    • Minimum 3 years of supervisory and leadership experience
    • Must meet all applicable accreditation criteria for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)
    • Experienced working with the Washington State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (WA DVR)
    • Knowledge of county Developmental Disability contracts and their requirements
    • Private transportation to use on the job, a current Washington State Driver’s License, proof of sufficient auto insurance coverage, and an acceptable 5-year driver’s abstract
    • Must have proof of U.S. citizenship or right to work
