    Description

    ABOUT US

The Pipeline Fund is working toward a reflective democracy where skilled, diverse, community-oriented leaders are fully supported to run for office, run campaigns, and advance progressive policies that address the urgent needs of all Americans. Founded in 2018 by a group of philanthropists to explore ways to strengthen the pipeline of progressive candidates, the Pipeline Fund provides the funding, data, and coordination necessary to scale and connect the work of existing pipeline groups.

The Pipeline Fund is focused on building the pipeline of leaders from underrepresented communities, including women, BIPOC, young, LGBTQ+, working class, and new Americans. We accomplish this by (1) convening national and state pipeline organizations regularly to build community and to share best practices; (2) providing pipeline-building organizations with the data and tools they need to do their work more effectively; and (3) providing direct funding and strategic support to existing organizations to recruit, train, and support diverse leaders in key states.

    ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Data & Reporting Analyst to support the organization in leveraging the power of data and technology to systematically and strategically make rapid progress towards a truly reflective democracy. As Data & Reporting Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and analyzing large datasets and complex data systems, supporting our state and national partners' use of data and tools, and conducting research and evaluation showcasing the need for and impact of Pipeline’s work. This is a junior to mid- level role with opportunities to grow and develop ownership of research, reporting, and analytics functions.

The salary range for this role is $70,000- $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience. We offer a competitive benefits package including a full suite of health and wellness benefits and paid time off. This position reports to the Data and Analytics Director. This is a remote position, but candidates must be willing to travel as needed.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Analyze and maintain large datasets in BigQuery, ensuring data integrity, cleanliness, and accuracy
    • Database management functions, including regular data maintenance and user support, of our Action Builder CRM
    • Support partners in their use of data: including cleaning and importing data, matching and supplementing lists, and measuring/reporting on their work
    • With guidance from the Data & Analytics director, create research products, reports, and datasets for our various partners and coalitions
    • Provide data support for external research projects and public communications
    • Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations in Hex or Looker Studio
    • Pull and report on data for internal measurement and evaluation efforts
    • Serve as a thought partner with the Data and Analytics Director for long term projects and planning
    • Other duties as assigned

The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the person holding this position. It is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities. The Pipeline Fund reserves the right to amend and change responsibilities to meet organizational needs as necessary.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • 1-3 years of experience in political and/or non-profit data
    • Passionate about and committed to advancing a reflective democracy
    • Proficiency in SQL (in BigQuery is a plus), with the ability to create complex queries
    • Experience using and managing CRM’s, especially Action Builder
    • Experience with visualization or dashboarding tools, like Looker Studio or Hex
    • Strong ability to summarize and communicate data findings to non technical audiences in a compelling way, both written and visually
    • Knowledge of data processing techniques and softwares like Python or R is a plus
    • Aptitude and enthusiasm for learning new technical skills and processes
    • Ability to thrive and maintain attention to detail in a collaborative, fast-paced, and deadline-driven remote work environment
