Director – Institutional Partnerships

United Way Bay Area (UWBA) seeks a dynamic and ambitious institutional fundraising professional to advance UWBA’s mission, vision, and strategy to end poverty in the Bay Area. This role is responsible for the development of effective grants strategies to expand UWBA’s revenue stream. The Director, Institutional Partnerships plays a pivotal role in building internal and external partnerships and is responsible for nurturing relationships with funders from prospecting to cultivation, writing proposals, and stewardship.

The Director, Institutional partnerships also secures both grant renewals as well as new funding opportunities. In this critical role, the Director will manage a portfolio of current and prospective funders while also developing and maintaining an annual grants calendar. Additionally, this individual will lead the identification of new grant opportunities from private foundations, corporations, and government agencies. The Director will be supervised by the Senior Director, Institutional Partnerships, and will collaborate with the Grants Manager and internal teams to develop and implement ambitious plans to support all areas of our work.
