    Description

    The Columbus Safety Collective Campaign (CSCC) is seeking proposals from firms or

    individuals interested in serving as Campaign Manager. CSCC is looking for firms or

    individuals experienced in ballot initiative campaigns, especially those at the city level for

    health, safety and/or criminal legal system reform.

    CSCC will review proposals until Friday, March 14, 2025. Please send all inquiries to the

    We seek a proposal for a Campaign Manager who will work with local partners to:

    • Facilitate conversations with the Executive Committee to produce an agile and effective governance structure for the campaign;
    • Oversee the campaign timeline and budget;
    • Build a case for investment in Ohio, draft funding proposals and lead the execution of our fundraising plan, including but not limited to, connecting the Executive Committee to additional funders;
    • Facilitate and lead field and communications planning for the campaign;
    • Assist coalition partners and organizations in the execution of organizing and messaging work aimed at building public support of the constitutional amendment, and
    • Work with our legal and administrative team to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws.

    PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Proposals should include:

    • An overview of you or your firm's relevant expertise.
    • A description of services you or your firm would provide, and an outline of your fee structure.
      • Please also include cost estimates for any additional services that would be required to develop, design, and execute your proposed program.
    • Biographical information and relevant experience for staff members who would be working with the campaign.
    • Your earliest possible start date.

    PROPOSAL FORMAT

    Resume and three references should be included. The responsive proposal memo should

    include initial thoughts on strategy. Each candidate is asked to outline the following in

    their proposals to the coalition:

    1. Prior experience planning and implementing a successful ballot initiative
    2. campaign.
    3. Prior experience managing a coalition working together on a local or statewide
    4. campaign.
    5. Experience in health, community safety, and / or policing, if any.
    6. A description of your approach to racial justice, equity, and inclusion.
    7. A description of your approach to integrating cultural competency within the
    8. scope of your work.
    9. If applicable, a description of your experience working with people with lived
    10. experience who are directly impacted by this project.

    TIMELINE & INQUIRIES:

    Please send responses to the Executive Committee at contact@cbussafety.org. Proposals

    will be reviewed until Friday, March 14, 2025. The campaign will select finalists to then

    participate in a formal presentation at a time and location to be determined.

    TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    CSCC will not reimburse for the cost of developing or presenting a proposal in response

    to this RFP. Submission of a proposal in no way guarantees procurement by the CSCC.

    Any creative or strategic discussions and ideas presented to CSCC by the firm as part of

    this process are not to be considered the property of the firm, and CSCC is released from

    any liability associated with subsequent use.

    CONFLICT OF INTEREST

    Bidder must disclose any relevant conflict of interests and/or pending lawsuits. This

    includes previous, current, and prospective campaign work bidder has completed, is

    completing, or will complete, with individuals

    ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

    Formed in 2020, the Columbus Safety Collective (CSC) is an advocacy collective of

    organizations and community members dedicated to creating a safer and more just

    Columbus for all residents. The CSC recently formed a campaign to pursue an alternate

    crisis response program for the City of Columbus via a charter amendment. You can learn
