    This position is situated within the Health, Safety, and Well-being Initiatives team, which is responsible for supporting the development of student affairs professionals working towards cultivating well-being in our institutional communities. NASPA’s work in the health, safety and well-being serves the advancement of knowledge and evolution of practice for higher education professionals focused on all aspects of student health.

    About the Position

    The Campus Support Coordinator provides assistance and support to two statewide grant funded coalitions: Coalition of Colorado Collegiate Alcohol and Drug Educators (CADE) and Healthy Colleges Montana (HCM). Working collaboratively with NASPA staff, campus professional staff, and students, the Campus Support Coordinator ensures that campuses receive timely customer service and administrative support. The person in this position reports to the Assistant Director of Statewide Coalition Evaluation and Data Projects.

    Essential Responsibilities

    Statewide Coalition Projects

    • Verify accurate reimbursement and contract submissions from coalition campuses
    • Coordinate accounts payable and accounts receivable for the projects
    • Assist in monthly budget reconciliation and invoice submission
    • Assist in the coordination and implementation of various volunteer initiatives, both in person and virtually, including arranging travel, coordinating venue meeting spaces, and processing reimbursements
    • Attend and support coalition related meetings
    • Coordinate and facilitate monthly, quarterly and year-end state mandated reports on projects status
    • Communicate with campus advisors, student leaders, and project partners via email, phone calls, and webinars
    • Follow-up with campus contacts to complete mandatory reporting requirements
    • Track work flow via the project management software, Asana
    • Update resources on the coalition webpage and online resource hub (LMS) using software, such as Farcry and Elevate

    Other Responsibilities

    The Campus Support Coordinator will serve larger organizational and departmental initiatives, working to help develop and support as follows:

    • Provide general customer service to NASPA members via telephone calls, e-mails, and other forms of communication
    • Respond to all inquiries in a timely manner, providing excellent customer service
    • Create, disseminate, and manage payments of invoices for purchase of materials
    • Assist with various aspects of the NASPA Strategies Conferences
    • Assist with and attend national conferences as assigned
    • Assists with all-team projects and participates actively in staff meetings and project
    • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned to support the association

    Reports To

    Assistant Director of Statewide Coalition Evaluation and Data Projects

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree required. Educational background and experience in student development, higher education administration, leadership development, or health promotion preferred
    • 1-3 years experience supporting organization operations
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to establish priorities, manage multiple projects, and follow timelines
    • Passion for developing and maintaining systems and processes that increase overall organizational efficiency
    • Demonstrated experience with using technology to increase organization and productivity, including a strong ability to learn how to use new platforms
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships inside and outside the organization with campuses, members, vendors, building management, and colleagues
    • Ability to take initiative, use sound judgment, and resolve problems diplomatically and discreetly
    • Ability to work effectively, independently, and cooperatively with all levels of staff and constituents
    • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
    • Demonstrated commitment to cultivating an inclusive work environment that values the perspectives and lived experiences of a diverse workforce and membership
    • Experience incorporating the perspectives of multiple communities in the consideration of impacts and outcomes of a decision-making process

    Employment Status:

    Full-time Non-Exempt: Non-exempt employees are those employees who are covered by the federal Fair Labor Standards Act, and are eligible to be paid overtime work in accordance with the provisions of applicable wage and hour laws.

    Salary Range

    The salary for this position is $62,000.

    Office Location/Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

    Office Location

    This position may be based anywhere in the contiguous 48 states, but work is primarily performed in the state of Colorado and preference will be made for candidates in, or adjacent to, Colorado.

    It is the employee’s responsibility to provide reliable internet capabilities for any work location outside of the Washington, D.C. office.

    Travel

    Occasional overnight travel to represent NASPA at events, on college and university campuses, and/or in-person meetings is an essential function of this position. Locations vary and can include sites outside of taxi service from major airports. As a result, the position is required to have the ability to travel independently, including air travel, navigating ground transportation, and occasionally driving a rental car.

    Physical Requirements

    • This position is primarily office-based with primary work on a computer, including phone, email, and video conferencing.
    • Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines and support events and programs.

    Additional COVID-19 Information

    Vaccination is not a requirement for employment. However, all employees are strongly encouraged to follow the CDC guidance on vaccination, including becoming fully-vaccinated and staying up-to-date as eligible. All employees may flex their schedules for time taken to receive and recover from COVID-19 vaccinations.

    In certain circumstances, NASPA may require testing for all staff regardless of vaccination status.

    Masks must be worn per local, state, tribal, and federal guidance, including the CDC, with the most stringent level of guidance followed. Regardless of guidance, all employees must have masks available should masking be requested by other employees, members, or external constituents. In certain settings, NASPA may require or strongly recommend that employees wear masks.
