    About Us:

    Camp Blue Skies is a nonprofit organization that provides overnight camps for adults (21+) with developmental disabilities. Through recreation, socialization, and life skills education, we empower our campers to thrive—and we create joyful, inclusive communities in the process.

    The Opportunity:

    We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as our Health Services Manager. In this key role, you’ll oversee the health and safety of our campers, volunteers, and staff during seasonal camp sessions in Georgia (March), South Carolina (May), and North Carolina (October).

    This is a part-time position averaging 10–15 hours per week, with flexible, mostly remote work between sessions. In-person presence is required during camp.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage health center operations and medical protocols
    • Review camper applications and conduct health screenings
    • Oversee medication distribution and medical documentation
    • Recruit, train, and supervise nurses and student volunteers
    • Serve as primary health liaison during camp and pre-camp preparations

    Qualifications:

    • Active RN license (BSN preferred)
    • 3+ years of nursing experience
    • BLS Certification (or willingness to obtain post-hire)
    • Experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred
    • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
    • Availability to travel and remain on-call during camp weeks
