    Techrity is a non-profit organization focused on bridging gaps in unemployment, gender inclusion, and poverty by equipping young talents with the resources to build solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa. We achieve this through initiatives like providing laptops, browsing data, mentorship, and inspiring innovators through our Build4SocialGood hackathon and incubation program.

    We seek a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee our day-to-day operations and ensure operational efficiency and excellence. This includes planning, coordinating, and managing various processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality in achieving the Techrity's goals and objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in operations management.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and compliance with Techrity's objectives and regulatory requirements.
    • Provide administrative support to all teams in Techrity ensuring proper website view, projects and program success.
    • Oversee all aspects of procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with overall Techrity's goals.
    • Lead the team by providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
    • Manage day-to-day operations, overseeing the team and departments.
    • Ensure organisational processes comply with legal regulations and standards.
    • Uphold health and safety guidelines and enforce compliance.
    • Monitor employee and team performance, offering coaching, training, and feedback for improvement.
    • Handle budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation to meet strategic goals.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
    • Automate expense reports, and ensure compliance.
    • Manage Techrity's team administration (Reports and Meetings)
    • Optimize workflows and processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
    • Oversee staffing plans, recruitment, and training.
    • Report on operational efficiency and quality standards.
    • Foster innovation and productivity through effective communication.
    • Maintain service operations to ensure sustainability.
    • Develop and lead conflict management practices.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement in operations.
    • Enhance systems, processes, and best practices.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field;
    • Experience in operations management roles, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in operations management software (Google Workspace, Trello, Quickbooks, etc)
    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, constantly evolving environment.
    • Familiarity in a non profit tech organization is a plus
    • Must reside in Port Harcourt
