    NEEP is based in Massachusetts, with staff in locations around the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. We are a remote-first organization, which allows our employees to work in any of NEEP's 13 states/jurisdictions in the region. In this highly visible position, you will serve as the right hand to the Senior Manager, driving key initiatives and making a significant impact. This independent contributor role is perfect for someone with exceptional project management skills, a knack for facilitation, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work autonomously.

    A Day In The Life Of This Role:

    Project Management

    • Lead and Oversee: Manage project timelines, staffing, budgets, deliverables, and reporting requirements with precision and efficiency.
    • Subcontractor Coordination: Ensure timely delivery and accuracy of subcontractor deliverables and invoices.

    Stakeholder Facilitation, Coordination, and Management

    • Engage and Build Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with NEEP partners.
    • Facilitate Meetings: Lead and coordinate stakeholder working groups, plan and execute effective meetings, and develop comprehensive reports, presentations, and follow-up materials.
    • Public Presentations: Craft and deliver compelling presentations to enhance the visibility and understanding of NEEP’s strategies, activities, and outcomes.
    • Host Events: Organize and conduct in-person and web-based workshops and webinars to support regional strategy development and implementation.
    • Strategic Alignment: Align NEEP’s project activities with other national and regional efforts, participating in key conferences and workshops.
    • Internal Collaboration: Coordinate project activities and materials with other NEEP initiatives, contributing actively to staff meetings and collaborative efforts.

    Research, Analysis, and Report Development

    • Conduct In-Depth Research: Perform research and analysis to inform strategy development; monitor relevant programs, technologies, policies, and market trends.
    • Author and Review: Draft and critically review reports, regulatory comments, policy memos, and other key public documents.
    • Comprehensive Reporting: Prepare detailed quarterly and annual progress reports and provide essential information for internal and external communications.
    • Enhance Tools & Resources: Manage and improve existing NEEP tools and resources, and contribute to the development of new ones.
    • Media Management: Oversee updates to NEEP’s web-based resource center, prepare engaging blog posts and newsletter contributions, and assist with crafting news releases.

    What We Need From You:

    • Experience and Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, research, and stakeholder engagement.
      • Previous experience in energy efficiency, heating electrification, building decarbonization policy a plus!
      • Individuals with significant volunteer experience with energy efficiency, building decarbonization, or building electrification work are also encouraged to apply
    • Technical Acumen: Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively communicate technical concepts.
    • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a talent for clear, concise presentation.
    • Tech Savvy: Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with website development and content management systems is a plus.
    • Independent and Collaborative: Ability to work independently while respecting and incorporating diverse perspectives.
    • Passion and Alignment: Deep interest in energy efficiency and alignment with NEEP’s mission and vision.

    Salary Range: The salary for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience, offering a range of $70,000 to $80,000 annually.

    Applicants must reside in one of NEEP's 13 states/jurisdiction in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia

    The position is exempt and scheduled 40 hours per week although additional hours including evenings and weekends may be required.
