    Description

    The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Development Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative support across various tasks related to fundraising, donor relations, and database management.

    As a member of our team, the Development Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our annual fundraising operations. Collaboration is at the heart of our approach, and you will work closely with colleagues across departments and external partners to drive our fundraising efforts and achieve our goals.

    The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and results-driven, playing a pivotal role in enhancing our access to actionable data, optimizing our digital marketing strategies, and delivering an exceptional experience to our donors and supporters.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support the administration of annual fundraising campaigns in collaboration with the Development Team.
    • Achieve proficiency in EveryAction fundraising tools for development functions.
    • Assist with print production priorities throughout the creative routing process

    • Coordinate elements of digital fundraising campaigns.
    • Create online action forms and tribute pages.

    Proofread, edit, and update fundraising content for print, email, and social media distribution.

    • Assist with gift processing, tracking direct mail invoices, and reporting.
    • Help with other fundraising and program activities as needed and assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Post-secondary education in a related field or a combination of education, comparable skills, and experience.
    • Minimum 3 years of professional administrative experience.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with computer software including Microsoft’s suite of tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email and scheduling systems, and other internet applications.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple and changing demands.
