    Catalyst Now is seeking an experienced digital solutions expert who will report to our Co-Chief Facilitator (Fredrik Galtung)

    Launched at the World Economic Forum in January 2020, Catalyst Now is a global community of social entrepreneurs, funders and other social change innovators who believe collaborative action and bold, new strategies are needed to address the crises of our time.

    Joining forces with communities, governments, businesses, funders and others, Catalyst Now members are working toward changing systems at all levels. Cumulatively, members have already impacted the lives of millions, often with limited resources. Together, we envision the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for all.

    About the Team

    Catalyst Now offers the candidate the opportunity to work with colleagues from various countries, and to challenge themselves within the context of a vibrant and growing organisation. The ideal candidate has a background in computer science and social enterprise at a global scale.

    The Co-Chief Resource Facilitator is an experienced senior social innovator that co-manages the Secretariat Team of Catalyst Now and is responsible for:

    • Operations and Finance
    • Fundraising
    • Shifting dominant narratives (events)
    • Creating an enabling environment/ecosystem (corporate and donor)
    • Governance

    Within this scope falls a transformative initiative for digital collaboration, revealing a need for digital solutions to support the financing model for high impact ecosystems.

    Responsibilities of the Digital Solutions Director

    • Needs analysis: identifying and evaluating user requirements, business objectives, and technological constraints to facilitate the design and implement effective, user-centric digital products and services for members and their target communities.
    • Market exploration: researching industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation, differentiation, and strategic growth.
    • Digital partner selection: evaluating and choosing technology providers, vendors, or collaborators based on their expertise, reliability, and alignment with business goals to ensure successful solution implementation
    • Product strategy, product roadmap, product development for a collaboration between members.
    • Conducting meetings and creating shared governance and decision-making with collaborators in the development of the solutions platform

    Requirements and Skills

    • Computer Science degree
    • 10+ years experience in software development roles (product or engineering)
    • 7+ years experience at C-level
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills
    • Proven organisational skills and the ability to work independently, as well as within a team, in a fast-paced environment and across time zones
    • An active interest in global issues and challenges, their complexity and nuances
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Desire to work collaboratively in a team, with a hands-on, positive attitude and ability to rise to challenges
    • Fluency in English is a given with fluency in one of the other UN languages being desirable.
    • Ability to work in a multicultural and global digital environment, with cultural sensitivity
    • Flexibility and the ability to easily adapt to new tasks and assignments that might be given at short notice
