    About the Role:

    Join the Finance team at NAF, a mission driven organization where we are working together to prepare the next generation of innovative leaders! The Manager, Finance, will manage designated financial processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and procurement. The core of this role will be in accounts payable and accounts receivable. Key responsibilities involve implementing and managing policies and procedures for accurate billing and collections, reconciling donations, processing payroll and deductions, overseeing expenses and vendor payments, and supporting contract management.

    The Manager, Finance will code and process invoices, membership billing and donations, oversee the expense report process, and ensure thorough documentation for audit compliance. They will also ensure goals and success metrics are tracked, evaluated, and communicated, and quickly manage change efforts.

    The Manager, Finance, will collaborate frequently, with Director, Finance to ensure compliance with grant reporting requirements, with the Philanthropy team on funding and with the People Operations team on payroll and personnel changes. They will act as the lead in the development and maintenance of Finance Department trainings and guideline documentation, providing guidance to non-finance staff members to increase understanding and engagement to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

    This position will report to the Director, Finance. This is a fully remote role, with travel expected approximately 2-3 times per year. The start date for this position is January 1st, 2025.

    Preferred Education/Training

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience (5+ years).

    Preferred Experience

    3-6 years of relevant experience, with responsibility for managing projects and/or teams.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
    • Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Skilled with Microsoft Suite (specifically Excel).
    • Experience with Accounts Payable.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to work independently, triage work and use sound judgement in decision-making.
    • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Familiarity with nonprofit accounting a plus.
    • Experience with Business Central a plus.
