    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    The Development Manager will coordinate DFSO’s annual fund, managing funding from individuals, events, and corporations; they also work with the Executive Director and grant writing team to field information requests and report to foundations. The Development Manager manages all fundraising systems and information, and will have a role in the financial planning of the organization alongside the Executive Director and the Director of Finance. DFSO has a contracted Nonprofit Strategist & Consultant who will provide direct support and leadership for the Development Manager and DFSO’s development plan and strategy.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Fundraising Coordination and Reporting:

    • Manages and executes individual donor campaigns (e.g., direct mail, online giving days, workplace giving).
    • Coordinates donor relationship management. Participates in managing donor and volunteer relationships.
    • Supports Leadership Team, Board and other constituents to cultivate and steward individual donors.
    • With the Executive Director, plan, execute, and any and all fundraising events, initiatives or other campaigns.
    • Work directly with the Marketing Committee to manage all marketing materials, including the creation of various materials such as the annual report, newsletters, e-updates, website, social media, general presentations, brochures, and collateral materials.
    • Primary liaison for data requests, the creation of budgets, and solicitation of documents as needed for grants and other funders. Produce reports for grantors and other institutional donors.
    • Solicit corporate sponsorships and other corporate donations.

    Data Management

    • Work directly with DFSO’s Operations & Finance Assistant to:
      • Oversee and maintain accurate and up-to-date donor and finance records in the organization's CRM systems.
      • Generate donor reports, track contributions, produce donor and financial data.
      • Coordinate other finance and fundraising vendors.
      • Generate reports and other program and volunteer data related requests to strategically build new community partnerships.

    Education and Experience

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher strongly preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Suites
    • Experience with databases (Salesforce preferred).
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
    • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
    • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders.
    • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
    • Familiarity with fundraising, donor relations, or non-profit environments is a plus.

    COMPENSATION

    Wage: Salary, $70,000-$80,000 annual

    Insurance: Full medical, dental and vision insurance

    FSA: Access to flexible spending account

    401(k): discretionary match

    PTO: 120 hours (annual) not including 10 paid holidays and 1 holiday break between Christmas Eve to New Years Day.
