    About The Role

    We are seeking a hands-on, passionate and dedicated individual focused on food waste and sustainability to coordinate a leading program aimed at addressing food insecurity while championing sustainability wherever possible.

    Along with managing operations, you’ll be the friendly face of Food Hub, tasked with creating a warm and welcoming environment for everyone - no matter the background.

    Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

    • Lead awesome initiatives and take charge of exciting projects to reduce food waste and promote sustainability.
    • Be the friendly face of the Food Hub, connecting with the community
    • Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and food rescue organisations
    • Create a warm and welcoming environment for everyone, no matter their background.
    • Be a wizard with stock management by sourcing, replenishing and taking stock of our inventory.
    • Always be on the lookout for new opportunities within Arc, UNSW, and beyond.
    • Take an active role in handling pick-ups and drop-offs to the Kensington and Paddington Campuses
    • Team up with the Food Hub Community Officer to keep things running smoothly.​

    Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience​

    • Have a huge enthusiasm for food, diversity, sustainability and community building
    • Capacity to build relationships to support the growth and support of the service
    • Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills.
    • Experience working towards a budget and with financial/invoicing systems.
    • Confidence in your ability to problem-solve and come up with innovative solutions.
    • A driver's license
    • A food handling certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
    • Knowledge of WHS and Ethical Practice, along with the ability to apply these principles in the workplace.

    • A fulfilling part-time role (30 hours per week) with core hours aligned to Food Hub operating days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), plus additional hours/days to be determined in consultation (Arc is open to casual employment if that is a preferred option of the applicant).
