We are seeking a hands-on, passionate and dedicated individual focused on food waste and sustainability to coordinate a leading program aimed at addressing food insecurity while championing sustainability wherever possible.

Along with managing operations, you’ll be the friendly face of Food Hub, tasked with creating a warm and welcoming environment for everyone - no matter the background.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Lead awesome initiatives and take charge of exciting projects to reduce food waste and promote sustainability.
Be the friendly face of the Food Hub, connecting with the community
Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and food rescue organisations
Create a warm and welcoming environment for everyone, no matter their background.
Be a wizard with stock management by sourcing, replenishing and taking stock of our inventory.
Always be on the lookout for new opportunities within Arc, UNSW, and beyond.
Take an active role in handling pick-ups and drop-offs to the Kensington and Paddington Campuses
Team up with the Food Hub Community Officer to keep things running smoothly.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

Have a huge enthusiasm for food, diversity, sustainability and community building
Capacity to build relationships to support the growth and support of the service
Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills.
Experience working towards a budget and with financial/invoicing systems.
Confidence in your ability to problem-solve and come up with innovative solutions.
A driver's license
A food handling certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
Knowledge of WHS and Ethical Practice, along with the ability to apply these principles in the workplace.
