    Position Type: Full-Time on-site with 1 remote work day

    Position Summary:

    Meridian Public Charter School is seeking a dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead full-cycle recruiting efforts. This role will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and onboarding high-quality candidates to join our team. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will actively manage job postings, conduct outreach, oversee the hiring process, and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires. This role will report directly to the Directo of People Operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Talent Strategy and Planning:

    • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand department needs and align recruitment efforts accordingly.
    • Develop and implement an annual recruitment strategy based on critical needs to attract top talent for all school positions, including teaching, administrative, and support roles.

    Recruitment:

    • Manage the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and screening candidates to conducting interviews and coordinating hiring decisions.
    • Create and maintain job postings on various platforms, including LinkedIn, Indeed, school career pages, and other relevant job boards.
    • Proactively source candidates through networking, social media, and industry events, including enrolling in, preparing for, and attending Career Fairs.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with universities, teacher preparation programs, and professional organizations to build a pipeline of qualified talent.
    • Communicate open roles and hiring needs effectively with internal stakeholders.
    • Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure timely communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.

    On-Boarding and Talent System Management:

    • Coordinate and execute all onboarding tasks, including document collection, orientation scheduling, and ensuring new hires have access to necessary resources.
    • Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics to assess effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
    • Assist in measuring Time and Attendance through HR systems and tools
    • Assist in supporting Intent to Return and Salary Letter/ Contract Renewal processes
    • Ensure compliance with all employment regulations and organizational policies related to hiring and onboarding
    • Any other duties assigned supporting the People Operations daily functions

    Required Qualifications & Competencies:

    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR-related functions.
    • Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
    • Experience with full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
    • Proficiency in using job boards, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and professional networking platforms like LinkedIn.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with candidates and hiring managers.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of hiring best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
    • Passion for education and a commitment to supporting the mission of Meridian Public Charter School.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating with key stakeholders.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working in education or nonprofit recruitment.
    • Familiarity with HR software and onboarding systems.
