    JOB SUMMARY

    The Health & Housing Consortium (“the Consortium'') seeks an experienced professional to drive the advancement of the organization's mission and goals and effectively implement organizational activities, including our new training program, CAREforce NYC, Annual Convenings, and other events. Our ideal candidate is highly skilled in training, education, and event planning and can work under minimal supervision.

    This position is ideal for someone interested in the health care and homeless service systems in New York City. This is a remote position with occasional need to attend in-person meetings or events within New York City. This is a grant-funded position with an initial two-year contract and potential to extend it longer, depending on funding availability.

We do this by fostering cross-sector relationships, informing policy, and building the capacity of frontline workers to support people with unmet health and housing needs.

    FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Training and Event Management

    Outcome: Ensure effective coordination of trainings, events, meetings, and stakeholder interactions to support organizational goals and enhance collaboration.

    • Facilitate and manage various organizational activities, including trainings, interagency case conferences, town halls, Housing Marketplaces, meetings, and related events
    • Coordinate and oversee logistics for both online and in-person events
    • Ensure successful execution of events
    • Project manage the organization’s Annual Convening
    • Work closely with trainer partners to improve processes
    • Utilize feedback from stakeholders, including Consortium committees, to create related trainings, events, and resources
    • Prepare regular reports on event attendance and evaluations and make recommendations for quality improvement

    CAREforce NYC

    Outcome: Successfully launch and manage CAREforce NYC, a new training platform for frontline and direct services workers in the health and human services sectors.

    • Develop a training curriculum
    • Identify trainers and support content development
    • Manage program through Relias, a Learning Management System (LMS)
    • Support LMS users through direct assistance and developing toolkits and resources as needed
    • Run analytics on program use, effectiveness, and user feedback and make recommendations for quality improvement

    Social Care Network Support

    Outcome: Support the Consortium’s involvement in the New York 1115 Medicaid Waiver through a partnership with Social Care Networks

    • Conduct a limited number of screenings to Medicaid recipients, utilizing a standardized screening tool to assess their health-related social needs
    • Coordinate live and on-demand trainings for social care network partners
    • Prepare reports on training activities

    Operations and Support

    Outcome: Ensure the smooth operation and coordination of program activities to support achieving organizational goals.

    • Offer project assistance on organizational initiatives
    • Participate in 1:1 and team meetings
    • Execute administrative and reporting requirements
    • Manage program budget(s)

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Experience working in the health care, housing, homeless and/or social service sectors
    • Experience designing training curriculum
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
    • Commitment to social justice, health equity, and homelessness prevention

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • LCSW degree
    • Previous experience managing large in-person events

    Physical Demands:

    • Sitting or standing at a desk or workstation for extended periods
    • Regular use of a computer for work and communications
    • Occasional travel within the five boroughs of New York City
    • May require occasional lifting and carrying of documents or office supplies
    • Regular use of visual acuity, including reading documents and meeting notes
