    Description

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Representing clients in state court, e.g. Travis, Hays, Williamson, and Bastrop Counties.
    • At the outset, the staff attorney’s caseload will be comprised primarily of family law cases.
    • Depending on the attorney’s interest, the caseload could expand to include other types of law we practice, including housing, criminal defense, probate, or civil rights litigation.
    • Maintaining a full-time schedule with occasional evening and weekend hours.
    • Supervising and supporting paralegals in family law matters.

    Qualifications:

    • At least two (2) years of family law experience. The ideal candidate will have a background consulting with clients, issue spotting, reviewing evidence, drafting court documents, and appearing in court.
    • A demonstrated interest in economic, social, and racial justice.

    • Attorneys must have an active license in Texas
    • Fluency in Spanish or another second language is desirable but not mandatory.
