    Description

    The YFC Project Coordinator supports the implementation and coordination of Youth & Family Collective projects. To be successful in this role, a candidate must demonstrate a collaborative, service-oriented mindset and the ability to engage one-on-one and in small groups with community partners in a courteous and professional manner. The ideal candidate is a skillful written and verbal communicator, with the ability to distill complex information for a variety of audiences with transparency and expediency. The successful candidate must be a problem-solver with the ability and willingness to try new approaches to remove barriers to collaboration. They must be able to process complex information and communicate project guidelines clearly and effectively.

    The Project Coordinator carries out the day-to-day tasks of each YFC project to ensure partners receive the support and information necessary to meet the project goals, as well as support the YFC Associate Director with monitoring and auditing project documents for accuracy, collecting partner documentation, fielding questions about program requirements and eligibility, scheduling YFC internal and external meetings, and coordinating with other PRO staff as needed to carry out duties in alignment with internal policies and procedures.

    Full COVID vaccination or weekly testing may be required by our funding partners.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Support and maintain positive and productive relationships with partners and relevant stakeholders and ensure they receive the highest quality technical assistance.
    • Monitor project timelines and communicate them to YFC partners.
    • Gather partner feedback and use it to assist in the design and development of YFC projects.
    • Support the YFC Associate Director with partner contracting and payment processes.
    • Assist in the development of partner resources and tools, detailed project plans, and data collection tools in collaboration with the Evaluation and Monitoring team and YFC Associate Director.
    • Support the team to monitor project performance and propose solutions if a project is not on track to meet its goals.
    • Support the YFC Associate Director to develop spreadsheets, diagrams and reports to document YFC projects.
    • Report and escalate issues to upper management as needed
    • Support the YFC Associate Director and YFC Director to maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
    • Maintain project documentation in an organized manner according to department and organization policies and procedures.
    • Develop leadership skills.
    • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
    • May require collaboration with other PRO/YFC team members on these activities.
    • Submit accurate reimbursement and mileage requests to the Project Manner according to PRO Youth policies and procedures.
    • Attend meetings and conferences related to YFC projects as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge of:

    • The needs of nonprofit organizations.
    • Collaborative concepts, practices, and procedures.
    • Issues related to high-risk youth & youth development, in particular those which relate to substance abuse, violence, ethnic & culture and geographic differences and the subsequent problems.
    • The education system, including public schools, vocational/technical schools and colleges.
    • Youth Development principles and practices.
    • Social media platforms

    Skills & Abilities

    • The ability to exercise good judgment.
    • Presentation and group facilitation skills (in-person and virtual).
    • Tact and diplomacy.
    • Analyze situations and carry out appropriate and effective action based on established procedures or policies.
    • Self-directed and can work independently, set priorities, develop goals and actively seek out resources.
    • Self-motivated and able to motivate partners.
    • Have access to reliable transportation.
    • Manage multiple projects and priorities.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office

    Preferred Experience & Education:

    • 2+ years of paid work experience, non-profit and/or collaborative project experience preferred.

    Certifications and Licenses:

    • Mandatory program/job requirement training.
    • Criminal justice fingerprint clearance.
    • A valid government issued identification / driver’s license.
    • Proof of current vehicle insurance.
    • Tuberculosis testing is mandatory.

    Travel Requirements:

    • Weekly regional travel.

    Physical abilities:

    • Ability to operate keyboards, printers, and other office equipment.
    • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
    • Hearing and speaking skills to communicate with staff and public.
    • Ability to read numbers and words.

    Location and Work Hours:

    • Work is a hybrid position (remote and at the corporate offices at 3780 Rosin Court, Sacramento, Ca, 95834) as determined by the Youth & Family Collective Director
    • Work hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • Occasional nights /weekends required.
    • Travel requirements to events and meetings.

    Compensation:

    • Competitive Salary ($26.25/hr. - $29.25/hr.)
