    Social Justice Fund NW is a member-funded foundation that supports the creation of a just society through fundraising, grantmaking, and member involvement. For over 45 years, the foundation has provided essential resources to organizations in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming to strengthen grassroots efforts in the broad movement for progressive, systemic social change.     THE POSITION

    This position is ideal for someone who enjoys making sure every detail is perfect and loves being a crucial support system. If you have a knack for spotting and solving problems, are comfortable asking for help when needed, but can also think on your feet and adapt to new challenges swiftly, this role is perfect for you.     Required qualities & qualifications:

    • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain orderly systems, and keep track of various office needs and schedules.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to handle inquiries, support staff, and coordinate logistics effectively.
    • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in administrative filings, documentation, and managing resources.
    • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with technology and software such as computer set up, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Dropbox, etc.
    • Team Collaboration: Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with different departments and support a positive work culture.
    • Commitment to Social Justice: Dedication to social justice issues, with a demonstrated ability and commitment to applying a Black liberation lens to administrative work.

    Helpful but not required:

    • Basic IT Skills: Familiarity with basic IT troubleshooting and support can be beneficial for assisting staff with technical issues.
    • Fundraising Infrastructure: Familiarity with fundraising infrastructure, including both grants and individual donations.
    • Experience with Social Justice Fund Members and Grantees: Previous experience working with Social Justice Fund members and/or grantees.

    Duties and responsibilities will include:

    Office Management & Operations (70%)

    • Inquiries: Handle general email and phone inquiries from the public.
    • Equipment & Supplies: Maintain office equipment, computers, and supplies (purchasing and ongoing maintenance).
    • Office Environment: Ensure a neat and orderly office environment and manage facilities needs in our Seattle-based office.
    • Errands: Perform out-of-office errands (post office, printers, supplies, etc.).
    • Administrative Filings: Complete annual organizational administrative filings (business licenses, etc.).
    • Vendor Management: Manage organizational vendors and digital resource/tool accounts.
    • Filing Systems: Maintain office filing and storage systems, including shared digital drives (Google Drive and Dropbox).
    • Safety & Procedures: Coordinate office safety/emergency resources and training, and document organizational procedures/practices.
    • Accessibility: Support the development and maintenance of accessibility resources in collaboration with other departments.
    • Consultant Support: Provide logistical and administrative support to consultants and contractors.
    • Tech Support: Assist staff with office equipment, computers, and digital resources/tools, including troubleshooting.

    Work Culture & Staff Support (20%)

    • Logistical Support for Meetings: Coordinate logistical support for staff meetings, including maintaining the schedule of facilitators and topics, and co-facilitating regular meetings and shared staff discussions.
    • Logistical Support for Retreats: Coordinate logistical support for staff retreats, including venue rental, meals, supplies, parking/transportation, tech, and other access needs.
    • Board Meeting Logistics: Coordinate logistics for board meetings, retreats, including venues, food, flights, and hotels as needed.
    • Onboarding and Offboarding: Manage the onboarding and offboarding logistics process for staff and board members, including dietary preferences, contact information, tech setup, and gathering board notes.

    Other tasks or projects as identified by the Finance and Operations Director (10%)
