    Description

    The Education Programs Manager is a key part of the Education & Guest Experience Department, directly overseeing a variety of school and public programs. Like all Living Coast personnel, this position promotes the Living Coast’s mission to inspire the community to connect with and care for our coastal environment.

    General responsibilities include management of staff and volunteers, implementation, evaluation, and development of programs, creation of curriculum and interpretive materials, implementation of department budgets and grants, staff training in program execution, teaching strategies, and animal handling, cultivation of community relationships, oversight of administrative tasks, and attendance of all events and meetings important to the success of these programs.

    Successful candidates will have previous experience in staff management, program coordination, environmental education, and animal handling. They will demonstrate strong interpersonal and leadership skills, teamwork, independent problem-solving ability, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Location: Chula Vista, CA (in-person)

    Wages: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
