    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)

    • Maintain confidentiality of records relating to program participants
    • Encourage participants to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, and help them to develop insight into themselves and their relationships
    • Guide program participants in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their challenges and barriers
    • Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports
    • Counsel program participants individually and/or in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, life adjustments, and making changes
    • Collect information about program participants through meetings, sessions, and groups
      • Acts as advocate for all program participants and coordinates services with their families and with involved service providers including, but not limited to, schools, DCF and the criminal legal system; provides referrals as needed.
    • Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge
    • Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
    • Evaluate program participant’s physical or mental condition based on review of client information
    • Meet with families and other interested parties in order to exchange necessary information during the treatment process

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master's degree with minimum three (3) years direct service experience or Bachelor's degree with minimum five (5) years of experience may be substituted
    • Knowledge of Boston area human/clinical services and ability to work with a team of professionals. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
    • Provide trainings/workshops to Brookview staff and program participants
    • Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Must be computer literate.
    • Works with a team approach to servicing program participants in a multi-service agency.
    • Attends staff trainings and supervision that is designated by the supervisor.
    • Conflict resolution skills
    • Must have current first aid and CPR certification within 3 months of employment
