    Description

    We are seeking an experienced and motivated Grant Writer to join our team as a consultant. The Grant Writer will play a pivotal role in securing the funding necessary to support and expand our programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission of our organization, a deep understanding of SEL, and a proven track record in writing successful grant proposals.

    Key Responsibilities

      • Grant Research: Conduct in-depth research to identify prospective funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and other sources aligned with our mission and programs.
      • Proposal Writing: Write clear, persuasive, and well-researched grant proposals to secure funding for existing and new projects. Tailor proposals to meet the specific criteria of each funder while highlighting the impact of SEL programming.
      • Grant Management: Track deadlines, submit proposals in a timely manner, and ensure all required documentation is included. Manage post-submission processes, including reporting and communications with funders.
      • Budget Collaboration: Work closely with the Finance and Program teams to develop project budgets, ensuring that proposals reflect accurate costs and financial needs.
      • Impact Reporting: Prepare narrative and data-driven reports for funders that demonstrate the outcomes and impact of our SEL programs.
      • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with current and potential funders. Follow up with funders to provide updates on program progress and outcomes.
      • Database Management: Maintain an organized system for tracking submitted proposals, deadlines, and awarded grants on bloomerang.
      • Collaboration: Work with the Development Director and other team members to ensure consistency and alignment of messaging in all grant-related materials and with broader fundraising efforts.
