    Description

    Position Summary: To provide supervision, coordination and evaluation of work activities of the Career Services Coordinators responsible for conducting assessments, service plans and client referrals to assist them in achieving their career goals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provides administrative supervision and leadership to Career Services Coordinators (CSC). Conducts regular meetings to review staff performance and provide feedback. Motivates staff.
    • Ensures vocational case management services are provided in compliance with program policies and procedures by conducting regular chart reviews and audits.
    • Determines quality and quantity of services provided. Assists in the identification and interventions to address clients’ barriers to employment
    • Assists staff in developing a comprehensive intake, assessment, and service plan for CareerCompass clients referred by HRA.
    • Provides training and assists staff in the use and evaluation of assessment instruments, case management and analysis to identify and create the individual employment Plan (EP) and Career Service Plan.
    • Assists in the creation of workshop/assessment curriculum and identifies inservice training needs and participates in Service Coordinators' development and delivery.
    • Effectively collaborates with Placement Coordinator(s), Instructors and other CareerCompass staff to support program, policy and resource development, and client services.
    • Performs quarterly clients chart audit to ensure accuracy and compliance. Reviews and analyzes team census management. Manages team performance milestones for billing in collaboration with Business Manager.
    • Develops and fosters working relationships with CareerCompass management, external referrals, HRA and other service providers as needed.
    • Interviews and recommends applicants for CSC positions. Provides project orientation and job specific training on department procedures and operations to new hires.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate's degree required
    • 3 years experience preferred in a workforce development program or similar social service setting
    • At least 1 year of staff management or supervisory experience preferred

    Salary: $68,500

    Schedule: 4 days on site, 1 day remote after successfully working 30 days

    Program Overview: NADAP's CareerCompass, one component in HRA’s initiative to address the unique needs of improving employment and training outcomes in NYC, provides orientation, comprehensive and individual employability assessments and service coordination for adults 25 years of age and older. As the first step in HRA’s programming, CareerCompass will identify and connect individuals to an education, training and/or employment track.
