    Grants Manager

    Washington, DC

    The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a unique global network of policy research centers, seeks a full-time Grants Manager to join its Development (Fundraising) team. This position will report to the Managing Director for Development.

    The Grants Manager will work closely with scholars and staff in research programs and global centers to provide management for grant fundraising activities. The Grants Manager will manage the grant proposal process for foundation and government donors, coordinate with Carnegie’s Finance team and research staff on grant management, aid in managing program and global center funding pipelines and grant record-keeping, and support stewardship of program donors.

    The position requires three to four years of relevant experience in fundraising and/or grant management, budgeting, and working knowledge of fundraising databases. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer, detail-oriented, and possess excellent organization and communication skills as well as numerical fluency. The ability to manage and meet deadlines is essential as is the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be flexible towards changing priorities.

    The approximate salary range for this position is $68,000 - $75,000, depending on experience. Located in Dupont Circle in Washington, DC, we offer an outstanding benefits package including health insurance. This is not a virtual position. Carnegie employees are required to work in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and generally can work from home Mondays and Fridays.
