    North Bay Jobs with Justice (NBJwJ) is seeking a qualified candidate for this position. Initial deadline to apply 4/25/25. Position open until filled.

    NBJwJ is a grassroots coalition of community and labor organizations building power and winning economic and racial justice on the frontlines of climate change in Sonoma, Napa and Marin Counties. NBJwJ is currently leading a multi-year strategic campaign in Sonoma County to improve the working conditions of immigrant and Indigenous farmworkers while also developing good off-season jobs in climate resilience work rooted in the workers’ own traditional ecological knowledge (TEK). We are affiliated with National Jobs with Justice and based in Santa Rosa, CA.

    General Responsibilities of the Operations Coordinator:

    • Make and track purchases for office, trainings, and staff
    • Organize and manage physical and digital files
    • Daily general correspondences – mail, email, phone
    • Maintain security protocols (data, passwords, office)
    • Data entry and maintenance
    • Ensure staff compliance with policies, procedures, and systems
    • Follow up with member organizations and individuals on donations
    • Assist with inventory management
    • Coordinate operations needs for events, fundraiser, and trainings
    • Assist the Executive Board and Executive Director with administration of the organization and scheduling

    Key Qualities and Competencies:

    • Strong commitment to worker justice and the labor movement, gender and racial justice, immigrant justice, climate justice, and an intersectional social movement
    • Ability to work effectively & collaboratively within working class, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities
    • Trustworthy and transparent
    • Strong written and oral communication skills, multilingual including Spanish and/or Indigenous languages is ideal
    • Effective time management skills
    • Proficient with standard applications including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and Google (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar), Adobe Acrobat, Canva, etc.
    • Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed
    • Willingness to travel throughout Sonoma, Marin, and Napa Counties and occasional travel to San Francisco and Oakland. Must have valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance by job start date

    Compensation

    Salary commensurate with experience. Starting at $75,126.25 with annual raises; fully paid health, vision and dental benefits; retirement benefits; paid leave, vacation and sick time; 13 paid holidays; cell phone allowance. This is a Union represented position with Teamsters Local 665.
