    Fred’s Footsteps is a nonprofit organization serving families in the Greater Philadelphia region who are caring for a critically ill, injured, or disabled child. By providing financial assistance for non-medical expenses, Fred’s Footsteps ensures families can stay focused on what matters most—the health and well-being of their children.

    The organization was created in 2005 in memory of Fred DiBona, Jr., former President and CEO of Independence Blue Cross and a well-respected community and business leader for more than three decades.

    Over the past 20 years, Fred’s Footsteps has invested more than $10 million in financial support to upwards of 2,000 families, filling the gaps that no other resource can. Today, the organization serves around 140 families annually and has its sights set on supporting even more as demand continues to rise. Come join our growing team!

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Creative Content & Marketing Coordinator plays a pivotal role in amplifying the mission and impact of Fred’s Footsteps. This dynamic individual will create, curate, and manage engaging written and visual content to fuel the organization’s marketing, communications, social media, development, event planning, and fundraising initiatives. The role requires a strategic and creative thinker who collaborates across teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with brand standards and ethical storytelling practices.

    Ideal candidates have multi-faceted experience that may include design, creative writing, social media management, marketing, and communications.

    Reports to: Director of Strategy & Marketing

    Hours: 30-40 hour hybrid work week to be fulfilled in the Bryn Mawr office and remotely.

    Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000 (based on full time)

    Oversight & Responsibilities

    1. Creative Development
      1. Design and create visual assets for use across digital, print, and event materials.
      2. Write compelling and audience-specific copy for a variety of platforms and mediums.
      3. Ensure consistency in branding, tone, and style across all materials, adhering to organizational brand guidelines.
      4. Utilize Canva and other design tools to conceptualize and execute content.
      5. Develop content that aligns with and fulfills the overarching content strategy outlined in the team calendar.
      6. Adapt content to fit the unique requirements and strengths of different platforms and mediums.
    2. Content Calendar Management
      1. Manage, maintain, and contribute to the organization’s annual content calendar to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
      2. Coordination with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary assets and permissions for content creation and publication.
    3. Social Media Management: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Vimeo
      1. Develop, schedule, and disseminate engaging social media posts across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, and Vimeo.
      2. Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and other interactions to foster community engagement and growth.
      3. Analyze social media performance metrics and refine strategies to maximize reach, engagement, and impact.
    4. Email Marketing Execution
      1. Plan, execute, and manage basic prospect drip campaigns.
      2. Oversee the creation and dissemination of all eblasts using platforms like Constant Contact or similar tools.
      3. Create, manage, and execute a quarterly e-newsletter, ensuring alignment with organizational messaging and goals.
      4. Track email campaign metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates) and adjust strategies for improved results.
    5. Event Support
      1. Collaborate with team members to conceptualize and execute creative content for events, ensuring alignment with the event’s vision and organizational mission.
      2. Design and produce event signage, brochures, materials, and other collateral as needed.
    6. Development Support
      1. Support development and fundraising initiatives by creating materials and content that drive donor engagement and retention.

    Skills

      • Proven experience in creative content development, social media management, or marketing communications, ideally within the nonprofit sector
      • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an ability to adapt tone and style for diverse audiences
      • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X) with high aesthetic standards
      • Understands and maintains brand standards
      • Video production and editing skills
      • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities; expert attention to detail
      • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial mindset
      • Ability to manage and execute against a content calendar covering multiple platforms and mediums.
      • Knowledge of Canva, Hootsuite, Constant Contact, Microsoft Suite preferred but not required
      • Strategic, analytical thinker possessing a proactive approach to problem-solving and ongoing process improvement
      • Able to work productively independently, and as a team
      • High self-awareness and emotional intelligence
      • Capacity to quickly learn new skills
      • Passion for the organization’s mission and a commitment to ethical and impactful storytelling

    Required Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design) plus related experience
      • A minimum of 3 years of experience in social media management, design, or similar role
